This B&B is a lovely house decorated in traditional English style - cosy common areas and lovely sleeping rooms. The hosts are very welcoming and provide a more than expected breakfast. For a characterful stay that fits perfectly will with a Mountain experience this property is perfect.
Friendly and hospitable couple running the place. It was a cosy and well kept stay in an excellent location between the residents hub with amenities and Gallery Walk, and the Curtis Falls track was located just behind within a few mins' walk.
Not as advertised, dated , no soap/body wash. Our apartment was a area attached to the main house.
If you want a fire you have to get your own wood. For nearly $300 a night i wouldn't go back. We left a day and night early and paid for other accommodation.
Richard was lovely and greeted me at the property and showed me into the studio. It was quite cute actually - ok on cleanliness I mean it’s in the mountains and I think the back door backs directly onto the property land so bugs kinda crawled into the bathroom area. Service was good location is amazing. It was the best thing about this studio. Lots to do nearby and within walking distance unfortunately it rained the full day I was there. But I got to see the falls the night before. Good thing the studio had Netflix!
Unit was very clean and comfortable. Great location within walking distance of the local shops and cafes. Breakfast was great and the spa was enjoyable. Hosts are friendly.

Room was ok !! Little small & bed not great !! Owner's are lovely & the breakfast was lovely !! I domestic at midnight across the road was not ideal !! In general not a bad place !!
The owner is lovely and kind, and made a beautiful home cooked eggs benni for breakfast. As all the guests met around the kitchen table in an English styled room, with decorative plates hanging on the walls.
I would say the room was convenient and clean, and the old English theme began with ornaments on doilys. The only downside was the small bathroom behind the sliding glass wardrobe door, it was a clever surprise back there but didn’t offer very much privacy.
We were both sorry to hear the man of the house was in hospital and we wish him a speedy recovery.
More a bnb than a spa retreat in our opinion though.
My wife and I have never considered staying at a B&B before bumbling into this real world charmer!
Richard could not have been more accomodating, to the point of dropping us where we had to be not being able to book an Uber in this beautiful part of the world!
The decor has old English charm and the rooms were clean and very well appointed!
We’d stay here again and thank you Richard for your most gracious hospitality! Darren & Billie Rettig.
We loved our stay here in this very English style retreat close to all that Mt Tamborine has to offer such as Curtis Falls, Gallery Walk and Fortitude brewery. Yet removed enough for peace of mind. Very friendly helpful and courteous hosts. The highlights including the delicious cooked breakfasts in the downstairs dining room, with interesting and enjoyable conversation with the other guests. Recommended.
The owners were wonderful, the bed very comfy. We didn't stay long but felt very welcome, and they did everything they could to facilitate anty special queries. Brekky was great too!
Nice rooms, library and breakfast areas. Small ensuite with no spa in the rooms, only a 'common area' spa, so you need swimmers and may have company! Exceptional breakfast and lovely staff. Mattress not great, no independent suspension so every move shook the other person awake. Clean airy rooms. Lovely outlook.
Great homely experience, very comfortable and close to everything we wanted to see including walks, shops and markets. Great breakfast - loved the eggs benedict.

Bed and Breakfast with a misleading name.
Richard was a pleasant, talkative host who has been running this B&B for 16 years. The rooms were reasonably clean (although dead cockroach on the carpet in the morning wasn't a great find). The room was booked only a few days prior to the weekend when not much else was available. "Mountain Spa Retreat" has a slightly different definition in my book, as does "luxury getaway room". This is effectively a house with four smallish bedrooms upstairs. Our luxury room included a queen bed, two armchairs and a TV, a dated shower and toilet, but no bath. House is a little tired, as are the grounds which could do with a weeding in the parking area. The hydro-therapy spa is a mobile spa pool, which we were informed would take 24 hours to heat up. We declined. Not ideal for weekend stays. Richard lays on a good breakfast. Location next to the national park and near town is good. All in all, if you are looking for a B&B experience in a good location, a little over-priced and mis-representative in my book, but a nice host (although his age is probably not helping with grounds maintenance), then this may be okay. If you are looking for a private luxury mountain spa retreat experience, I advise to look elsewhere.
What a wonderful experience - a great spot for a relaxing "recharge of the body and mind" mini break. Hosts Richard and Elizabeth were very welcoming and accomodating of us into their home, with lots of lovely little touches that made for a very enjoyable weekend away. The breakfast options were cooked individually to order and beautifully - will have to go back to keep working out way through the menu. So far the scrambled eggs are winning Richard! A special mention also to the "chief welcoming committee" Tammy, who as the fur member of the household is just a delight. Many thanks for your fabulous hospitality, we will be back!
