Bed and Breakfast in Talgarreg

"Lovely overnight winter stay. Hotel and rooms are spotless. Comfy bed with quality bedding, everything felt of good quality. Excellent shower and modern bathroom. We chose the Black Lion as we prefer to stay and eat in establishments that do not allow dogs and there aren't many now ( I know some people would disagree and want to take their dogs everywhere but we all need a place we can feel comfortable in and every other venue in town seems to accept dogs now so dog owners have plenty of options). We had a meal in the bar which was excellent quality and breakfast was included in our stay with plenty of choices available. Attention to detail in the refurb of the building is a credit to the owners and staff. It is just a beautiful building! Last but not least every member of staff we met were friendly, engaging and professional so all in all a fabulous stay and I would highly recommend. Hospitality like it used to be! "

"we were welcomed at reception by a very friendly and helpful staff member who explained everything regarding our bed and breakfast stay. Very interesting old hotel with period features, surprisingly quiet, immaculate room, comfortable bed, plenty of towels and all toiletries. Fantastic service at breakfast with huge choice of food and we also had a fabulous evening meal. Again, I cannot praise all the staff for their attentive service. I will return as soon as i can. Free parking on site, lovely spot close to the town. Faultless in every way; highly recommended.. 6 stars!"
