Great location near town and grocery. Wonderful staff. Very nice kitchenette facilities and well stocked with cutlery etc. lovely small balcony with view of the fields and hills…. All close to town.

A friendly welcome offering suggestions for local activities. The facility is the best I have in for a long time. Very spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped. I could have happily and comfortably stayed for weeks. Highly recommended, thank you.

Great stay, property was clean, and plenty of space for the 3 of us. Had a kitchenette with everything we needed to cook dinner and breakfast. Close to a lot of nice hikes and only about 20-25 min from Golden Bay. Property manager was very friendly and helpful, we did use the community laundry facilities which were nice to have and they had laundry baskets, detergent and drying racks, so that was really helpful. Parking is right next to your unit and easy to get in and out of. Would definitely stay here again, thanks for a great stay!!

Very clean, organized and amenities for basic food preparation. Proprietor gave us a free small bottle of milk for tea or coffee. Very friendly and helpful staff. We're recommending this motel to everyone we encounter while we are in NZ until the end of March. Mohua is a gem!

For a motel, the shower / toiley is incredible. The kitchen, rooms, and closets are also in very good condition! Can walk to main shops and restos in town. #Canada #Vancouver #Montréal

We stayed in a king studio unit. So impressed to find the room very clean and comfortable. Lovely details in the room eg the side lamps and pictures. Great check in experience as well, the lady was lovely

A very clean motel incredibly handy for town. The room had everything for a great stay including a coffee pot and plunger and a decent hairdryer!

This is a very nice modern place. There is very little accommodation of this standard in Takaka. I few negatives, the towels are not white and do seem to absorb moisture well so difficult to dry yourself. Also the bedding consists of sheets and only a bedspread and no duvet. I hope the bedspread is washed often.

Hi Shirley, Thanks for your comments. We have only had amazing comments on how great our red or grey towels are sorry, maybe they didn't dry as good as some of them are still reasonably new? (I I'm not sure what unit you stayed in, so am not sure if you had newer ones) Yes we do wash our bedspreads regularly :-)

Good location, very central and close to shops and restaurants. Very Clean apartment but daily service was just basic, they don’t do beds and only one of our two rubbish bins had been emptied.

Thank you for your comment and for staying with us. We do make beds but not if there are any personal items on them,(clothing, bags etc) we also do empty bins if they need it or have smelly items in them, we are very sorry if we missed one in your unit (bathroom?) if you let us know at the time we would have definitely done this for you and we would have made your bed for you as we always want our guest to enjoy all of their stay :-)

Clean, modern, good quality linen and heaps of towels... perfect location to reach town by foot without being in the middle. Only thing would be a bit of road noise so ear plugs if not used to being in town
