"Had a lovely ANZAC weekend at Fern Tree cottage - even went to the service at 11am just down the road. Spacious and warm, and just around the corner from the shops and bakery. Kids loved the rooms, and there was plenty of space for everyone. Highly recommended."

We had four full on busy days there and it was great to be able to return in the early evening to relax and have full cooking facilities to enjoy our catch from the Anatoki Salmon Farm. "When we arrived the key was not in the lock box, but this was quickly rectified and the property manager came within 10 mins after a phone call, so this was not a huge problem… we are all only human!. It was not clear to me how much cleaning we were meant to do at the end. I was pretty sure I had paid to not have to vacuum etc but this was not clear in the email or at the bach itself. I called the property manager to find out. She said we had a late departure due to the key incident, however...

"A rustic farm experience in a lovely cabin. Amazing sea and bush views and incredible star gazing. The farm is an animal sanctuary with horses, ducks, geese, chicken, sheep, cattle, pigs and peacocks which really added to the countryside experience. This is a rustic experience similar to glamping so if you're after the 5 star experience this is not for you. "A unique property about as close to the Tasman area as you can get. My room was more like a cabin, with its own parking and even an outdoor bathtub and barbeque area. The room was large and comfortable, with a kitchenette and small fridge. There is also a public cooking area and laundry facility. Also nearby, your own private glowworm cave, although I didn't get a chance to check it out. The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel easy to find and check-in was easy. You pretty much have to have a car here but this is true of most of the area. I had a great stay, even through I was only there a short time."
