Shangri-La Far Eastern, Taipei
Beautiful large room. Excellent staff in the Horizon Lounge. Great service in Li Bai and the lobby lounge. The international buffet at the Cafe was a bit of a bun fight with the locals, although the food itself was good.

Eastin Taipei Hotel
Clean room, helpful staff, Bank of Taiwan was just around the corner, no trouble using the wifi on phone. There is an underground mall exit right in front of the hotel (Exit 11) that connects to the blue line MRT, but it doesn't have escalator/elevator. We used it to get around when it rained. The Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei
Breakfast was very good. Room was dated but large. They were refurbishing the hotel when we were there, but we got an older room. Location was a bit far from train stations, but cabs are very affordable, so it didn’t matter. Overall a solid option for a family of 4 for a few days in Taipei.

Shida
