"This was a highlight of my trip. I *adored* this space. The location is not too far from Tainan train station (note: this is separate from the HSR), and is near many wonderful attractions and food options. It can be a little confusing to find because it is in a winding alley, but the alley itself is also really cute! The host met with me at check-in and provided me with a map and recommendations, which was so thoughtful. I loved all the careful details in the space and room. My room was very comfortable and beautiful. There is a slight gap under the door, so you have to be mindful of your noise level. I would absolutely stay here again next time I'm in Tainan!"

"I enjoyed my stay here at Lakeshore! I stayed for 3 nights. Check-in was efficient, the staff was helpful with my luggage, and the room was clean and tidy. Housekeeping came by daily to fix up the room. I had included breakfast in my stay, which was a large buffet, unlike continental breakfasts in American hotels. They had fresh food and continued to bring out more food once something ran out. They were fast to clean and help. Good location too — walkable to the local bus stops and a lot of dining areas nearby. Would recommend if you’re in the area."

"I like the Shangri-La hotels. Room was large and comfortable, bed was very comfortable. Sheets were good quality. Breakfast room was too cold. Food was ok. Keeping the food stations supplied seemed to vary. Variety was very good. Staff was very helpful. Maybe keeping Breakfast open until 10:30 am would be helpful. "
