Tahoe National Forest Tours and Activities

It was a nice hotel, we traveled with kids so I always look for safety, definitely felt safe. The only negative was that, like others have mentioned, it did have a really strong smell to cleaning products.

Highly disappointed. This property was not what I expected. I checked in, got to the room, immediately took pictures of the room that was not cleaned before check in and we checked out. The air on the floor feels sticky and smokey. Feels very unclean. When we arrived to the hotel, we were greeted with a what I assume is a bullet proof window and the person at the desk was eating - he was very unprofessional in his attitude and appearance. We checked in, arrive at the room and the door literally pushed open when made wonder about the security of the door. We entered the room, there was unpleasant smell, the bed was unmade, the window was open, it was dark, only on light on the standing lamp stand worked, the other did not and the bathroom was unclean. We immediately decided we were not staying. We took pictures of the room, went back downstairs to advised we were not staying. Same man at the desk, very nonchalantly said ok, offered another room, we said no ... he then told us to contact the booking entity. No apology, no concern, no nothing. The only positive is, I received within 24 hours an email from Helen, who did apologize and initiated a refund on my prepaid stay. She was great!
