"Breakfast was decent but staff need to make eye contact and take cooked breakfast orders once seated. Very difficult to catch their attention. I did give this feedback in person but I don't think they really appreciated or acknowledge the criticism. I do think they need to take orders quicker or at least communicate when they are going to do so. For sure, they should prioritise that ahead of some of the other things they are running around doing, invariably without looking up. Service could definitely be improved. Room was great but again two staff were adamant that this type of room was without view and insisted I must have been misinformed by another staff over the phone prior to arrival. In reality we had a great view of top of cathedral and river, exactly as described. So staff need to know their rooms better especially before contradicting each other. Due to slightly slow breakfast service, returned to room locked out and I don't think they should be quite so strict about disabling key cards like that especially when we were just going back for luggage."

"Big lover of the Hampton by Hilton brand as they always look the same and deliver the same... Sadly not York. This Hotel is nothing like the Hampton brand. Good Hotel, just not Hampton and it was that, what we expected. In case the Hotel reads this: just go in room 217 and tell me how far down in the past you should have changed the mattress! Completely layed through from years of using. At 4:45 in the morning hammering for 45 min. As I complained about that in the morning: noone ever came back to me with an apology or reason for this early noise... York is a great place and the Hotel well located. But it's not the typical Hampton... Just a normal average Hotel"

"A near perfect stay at Delta hotels. The food, staff and pool were perfect. The only minus was the room’s bathroom which desperately needs an upgrade. Otherwise a great hotel next to the racecourse with a beautiful walk down the river into York. Would definitely come back."

"The hotel room we chose was a small double and it was quite small especially the bathroom, perfectly adequate for 1 night. The breakfast was excellent!! The evening meal (at The Pickled Sprout) was only just ok, the meals were all over salted and the fries were inedible for me. The quality of the food was good. For 4 of us we paid over £170 with a drink each and when some of was inedible its not good. Overall I would stop there again but choose somewhere else for dinner."

"From the perspective of how good the hotel was and how respectful and friendly the staff were, this hotel is top-notch and there is nothing you can complain about, and this is my top choice for a classy hotel in Leeds. Any day I am back in Leeds, we'll definitely go back to it. My only issue would be that availability of parking is quite difficult and sometimes you'll have to even find parking 10 minutes or further away and then walk to the hotel. Please make sure you do not have any events on the same day, otherwise the Q-car parks that are close by and the hotel car park will be completely full and you will have to park further away and either walk or get an Uber to the hotel depending on the amount of luggage you have."
