Excellent place! Great location - close to the sound, and waterfront restaurants, big place with all the necessary amenities - great for a jumping off place to see Mt. Rainier and Olympic national park. Definitely would stay here again.

Great location
The location was great and the house is spacious. However, it’s old so it’s noisy and the beds are not comfortable.
We loved the location of this house - great view of Commencement Bay and close to UPS, restaurants, and shopping. The house was quite comfortable with a gas fireplace to take the chill off. And the host provided some very special touches such as a lighted Christmas tree! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a pet-friendly stay in North Tacoma.
My family and I stayed in this lovely house for a few days after the closing sale of our home. The house was very comfortable and accommodating for my family of 5 and 2 dogs. The neighbor was beautiful and we felt very safe. The only thing that required a little getting used to were the creaking floors and the “old house “ smell. I would recommend this to anyone.
We were 6 mature women staying for several nights for a retreat. Logistically, mature adults need beds that are viable in comfort and not simply something with a mattress that a dog or child could sleep on. Having said that, the sleeping arrangements are accurate in the posting though many on VRBO and other listing services are NOT.
We rent lots of houses and this one has everything needed and a great vibe! It is just minutes from the water and all the activity on Ruston Way. It has spectacular views from the front yard, dining room and upstairs open area. It is in the most beautiful and charming area of town. Great walking and great restaurants all around.
Thanks, Kelly, for being a great host and for responding to our every need. You rock and we'll be back!
PS: Other questions that come up that I can answer. The water is 'hot' and there is plenty of it. The appliances are new and in great working order. There is a good amount of seating in the living room with a large sectional (also comfortable for sleeping), a swivel chair and cushions upstairs that made seating on the hearth very nice. The gas fireplace works and does give a nice warm atmosphere, as well as actual heat.
Needed a place to sleep 5 for a visit to UPS family weekend. We cooked one night and had take out another night. The place fit our needs, great location in what felt like a safe neighborhood. Hot tub was a bonus and a nice way to end afternoons of exploring. There were enough pots/pans for eating in. Coffee was stocked. Everything was clean and functional.
Excellent experience, in Tacoma. Super convenient to old town and downtown. A minor issue after checkin with the electronic lock and had an immediate response from the owner. Appreciated the quick service and help.
Lovely neighborhood close to a lot of activities great jacuzzi so relaxing feels so at home we enjoying our stay here in Tacoma Washington they replied fast worked with us helped us out when needed answered our questions very nice people & place thank you guys so much will be staying again

You get what you pay for
Overall, the stay was fine and worked for my group. BUT, there were noticeable issues. The WiFi was very slow that it was unusable for most of the group. There were obvious items not cleaned before we got there, there were clothes left in the washer we assume from a previous tenant and the futon beds upstairs did not have any sheets so it made it difficult for individuals to sleep comfortably on what the listing classifies as places to sleep. Additionally, there was a drawer in the kitchen that was a clear junk drawer that had an old used retainer in it, we opted to keep that drawer closed. We found some of these items near the end of our stay so we informed the host the morning we were checking out to inform them of these issues and there was no response from the host. Overall, the rental worked for my group but I probably would not stay again.
