"The entrance to the property needs some attention as there are over grown weeds on pavement which is uneven and uncared for but other than this it’s a perfect location, beautiful room, good what’s app communication. Sitting on the balcony watching the world go by as the sun comes up in the morning is fabulous. There isn’t any sun in the evening but it’s lovely watching the boats come into the little port. This is a fantastic peaceful place to stay."

"We liked the hotel and thought the breakfast was the best we have ever had when travelling. The evening meals were of a high standard too and the staff were lovely and friendly. The complimentary glass of bubbly on arrival and in the fridge in the room was great and the little box with welcome goodies is a nice touch. It’s the location that’s the main problem, you arrive at the back on a very busy main road with badly broken up pavement ( not the hotels fault). There are a few car parking spaces with no clear signage to reception so we headed towards the pool bar and were taken back towards the car park to the reception ( there is no sign from the pool). Our room was absolutely enormous and far too big for 2 people, maybe better suited to a family of 6! We were at the back of the hotel so sitting on the balcony you have constant road noise but you can see the sea. When we went to bed the noise was terrible from the restaurants over the road, the hotels nearby and the restaurant next door. The next day the lovely guest relations lady arranged for us to move to a ground floor room which was lovely, people sit outside talking late at night and made a lot of noise so I wonder if the rooms need to be insulated as we couldn’t sleep but this isn’t the hotels fault. We stayed for 2 days in this room when it developed a bad leak in the kitchen so we had to be moved to the sea front room which was perfect and so so peaceful, if we return we will pay to stay in this room."

"It was a nice hotel but its not five star inside the rooms. We had a pool suite and the bathroom especially had seen better days. The room felt very sterile no soft furnishings, pictures or plants to soften the large tiled areas. There wasn't anything about the suite that made it feel special to be honest. We were right on the end room 426 and the pool and terrace really didn't get any sun after 10am but that was luck of the draw. The cleaner walked in every day regardless of the do not disturb light and if you weren't ready for her she never came back. We had unmade beds etc most days most annoying. The rest of the hotel was lovely, very clean and the food in the a la carte restaurants was very nice. You have to book them for dinner so get ahead of the game as soon as you download the app or you miss out. The best tip I can give you is take care of the barman every now and again in the main bar in the lobby with a good tip and you never need to queue for your drink again!"

"Good stay in Symi at Maravelias Rooms, the accommodation is in a great place, so close to the port but on a side street so nice and quiet! The rooms are spotless and the whole building is looked after by a housekeeper who is worth her weight in gold, super friendly and extremely conscientious. Very easy to pick up keys from the office and the team there were very friendly. Although we didn't use it, there is a very nice roof terrace for guests to use. I do have a couple of criticisms though mostly small but a little annoying as it wasn't the cheapest place to stay - for example, there was only one towel hook in the bathroom, but when there's 2 of you it's annoying .... Only one bedside table, with a lamp - but no electricity socket to plug the lamp in (this was pointed out in a review in 2025 but still not addressed), it's great having a few pieces of crockery (plates / bowls / coffee maker / even a sandwich toaster) but nowhere to prepare stuff, no tea towel, you have to use the bathroom sink .... Limited storage for clothes - a set of drawers would have made a difference (and you could have used top for crockery). Biggest problem, we couldn't shower when the room next door was using theirs, no hot water and low water pressure. It just meant waiting a bit ... but .... it was quite exasperating, and not their fault I'm sure they had no idea! Maybe we were unlucky and it was just our room."

"A pretty, brightly coloured set of studios with various outdoor sitting spots in a great location just behind Symi Harbour. Our bed was on a low mezzanine & was itself very low which didn't bother me but my husband wasn't too happy about. There are a couple of sets of stairs to get to the top studios, so if accessibility is an issue, get one on the ground floor. There is no reception, but check-in instructions The room was clean & serviced everyda. There is no reception but chevk-in instructions were received in a timely manner."

"We had a wonderful stay at Nirides. It was a perfect family holiday and the view from the bar/restaurant will stay with us for a long time! The apartment was excellent, the food was delicious and the two local beaches you can walk to were stunning. We also appreciated the ability to get to the port via the hotels taxi service."
