Mountain Top Cabin with a View that is Centrally Located in Western Carolina.
Juke Cabin is great place to relax or be adventurous in the mountains of western North Carolina. Our porch offers an incredible view where you can relax on the outdoor sofa or rock in the rocking chairs. The porch is kid/dog friendly with a gate enclosure to prevent sneaking off! Meals can be enjoyed on the porch table or inside on the dining room table. Enjoy the indoor fireplace on a chilly night or outside at the firepit on summer evenings. The kitchen has been fully renovated with all new appliances and granite countertops. The kitchen cabinets an antique "wormy chestnut" that were made locally over 50 years ago and have been restored to maintain the mountaintop cabin feel.
Juke Cabin is centrally located between Cherokee and Asheville, North Carolina. Hiking can be done nearby in the Great Smokey Mountains or Blue Ridge Parkway. Countless waterfalls are located nearby including Dry Falls, Mingo Falls, Looking Glass Falls, High Falls, Turtleback Fall and Rainbow Falls. Visit nearby Dillsboro or Sylva to grab a meal or drink at a local brewery after shopping at the local artist galleries. Jump on the train in Dillsboro and ride it through the Great Smokey Mountains to Bryson City. Visit nearby Cherokee, NC where you can visit the Cherokee Indian Village, see elk, watch the play Unto These Hills (an outdoor drama retailing the Trail of Tears), or try your luck at Harrah's Cherokee Casino. We are happy to offer suggestions on things to do that involve kids, dogs, grandparents or families.
Or, just sit on the porch with a glass of wine or cup of coffee while enjoying the view to recharge your batteries!

Very quiet and the view of the mountains was amazing. The cabin was spacious and very comfortable. Provided everything you would need. It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay.
Our stay in this cozy moutain home was perfect. The mountaun view is breath taking from the porch and the house is well stocked with everything you could need from; cooking, games, tvs, comfortable furninure, and laundry. The drive up the moutain is an adventure and confirms that you truly found a place to get away from everyday life and enjoy nature. The host does an excellent job of keeping in touch with you and is very responsive if you need any assistance. We loved spending time here.
Michelle was a great host. She checked on us before we got there and even called to provide some last minute information about the heat. The view from the back porch is gorgeous and the house had everything we needed. My family enjoyed the stay. Michelle provides great directions up to the house as it is not on a state maintained road. The first time you go to the house go when you have some daylight as Michelle recommends.
The view is awesome. Enjoyed watching the weather change the views. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Our hostess was very nice. She kept in contact throughout the process and our stay.
My wife and i booked the cabin for a quiet weekend away and it was perfect. The view from the porch is fantastic and a great place to watch a sunset or sunrise
The house has, by far, the most beautiful landscaping of any house we've ever stayed. Communication with host was great. WAY off the beaten track, the road to the house is challenging at first and you need to pay attention to the directions. Great mountain views from porch. House, while not luxurious, is clean, well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
The name of the cabin does this place an absolute justice. It does feel heavenly in the clouds. We absolutely enjoyed the stay. Cabin has a wonderful view. Has couple of games for us to play. The patio was our favorite place to hand out. My dog absolutely enjoyed roaming outside the cabin. It is a thrilling ride at night to the cabin. I would suggest to reach while the sun it out. The host is an absolutely amazing person. She is kind and supportive. I left some things at the cabin. She offered to mail it to me.
The place was clean, peaceful, spacious, and oh so relaxing!! The flowers gardens, the porch, the rocking chairs, all of it was perfect! Everything was so clean and welcoming! Thank you so much for sharing this place! We didn't want to leave!
Very comfy cabin, comfortable bed. Stunning views and a wonderful porch to enjoy them from. Fill up the hummingbird feeder and you will have frequent visitors!
The only thing that could have made our stay better was if it were longer! The cabin was even better than advertised, secluded, quiet and very homey. Michelle was outstanding from the start, and squeezed in the third leg of our honeymoon tour on relatively short notice. Everything you could think of was provided, and if you bought enough groceries you would never even need to leave the cabin (we did anyways though, and the local shops and restaurants were delightful). My wife is in love with it and can't wait to go back, and neither can I. Literally the best VRBO/AirB&B we've ever stayed in!
start, and
We had a wonderful time at Juke Cabin. First of all communication with Michelle was excellent. She answered promptly and made us feel very welcome in her family's vacation home. It was very peaceful and the long range views were beautiful. Slow and steady wins the race when you drive up. Don't be nervous. We hope to return someday.
I chose this for the Mountain View, and it fulfilled that expectation perfectly. The porch is awesome filled with comfy furniture to relax and enjoy the view. I liked the privacy and the serenity of the location. The host is very responsive and helpful. We only went out to eat one day during our stay and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, using the grill, and eating at the table with the gorgeous views. Beyond that, I loved this section of North Carolina. We will definitely be coming back next year. Lots of hiking and waterfalls in the surrounding area. The Great Smokey Mountain Railroad in Bryson is easy to get to and well worth the ride to the Nantahala Gorge.
Juke Cabin is perfect! From the scenic drive up the mountain to our welcoming arrival at the cabin. The cabin is updated with beautiful features. The bathrooms and kitchen were immaculately clean. The king size bed was very comfortable! Deck view and surroundings were breathtaking. We didn’t want to leave! Plenty of firewood for both inside and exterior fire pit. We will definitely come back to this cute gem.
Michelle, our host was very accommodating and easy to reach. Thank you for our wonderful weekend getaway!
Traveling to the cabin: It's a climb up to the cabin, but honestly, the road isn't bad as far as mountain roads go. There are no intense switchbacks and the road, though bumpy, curves gently. We were in a Hyundai Tucson and had no issues. Slow and steady and you will be just fine.
Location: So easy to get to from the highway. It's a short journey to town to get groceries. About 1 1/2 hour journey through the national park to get to Dollywood, about an hour to get to Asheville.
The property: I booked the cabin for the beautiful garden. The fire pit area was so nice with the market lights overhead (and has some yellow lady slippers blooming around it! We used the wildflower book provided by the owner to identify some flowers which was fun)
The cabin: Is SO peaceful and quiet. The porch is heaven and you can listen to a symphony of birds. The furniture is comfy, as are the beds. The kitchen is stocked for simple meals. The hot water LASTS (and feels so good after a hike). The towels are fluffy. The games are fun to play (we played DogStax every night at the table) and the books provided are fun to peruse. The TV is satellite and worked great. The Wifi didn't want to cooperate during our visit, so it might not be best if you are booking to WFH, but we enjoyed the cabin so much, it became hardly missed.
I highly recommend booking if you need some rest, peace and beauty.
Michelle was an excellent host! Checking in with us at appropriate times and quick to answer questions. We loved the cabin and our dog loved taking walks there.
As advertised. The cabin had an incredible view and was secluded. We greatly enjoyed the wildlife, fireflies, humming birds, and the fire pit. The road up the the cabin was an adventure, but well worth it for the view.
We enjoyed our stay at Juke cabin. We were greeted at the entrance by lovely native plants and the porch view was spectacular!! There were many amenities that enhanced our stay--cleanliness, a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, ample linens and great communication from the owner.
We were so grateful to be able to take our extended family our fur babies-Thanks
We will definitely return to Juke cabin.!!
