Really nice hotel. The people working there are superb. I cannot fault anyone that I interacted with. It’s such a shame that this hotel is due to close in February. Definitely visit before it does.
It was nice and had some facilities. I would like to have more varied food.
Some things were missing in the room but once I responded it, it was dealt with on the day.
I would stay again though.
Alexander Hotel is set in a vast land, that enable guests to go for long walk, within the compound.
The Hotel interior is quite beautiful and modern, and the and ambience. It caters to all type of guests with different amenities.
During our stay, there was Art and Craft activities, and various items to purchase.
The spicy dinner platter and Burger meal we had was tasty, (the chicken wings needs more seasoning). The tortilla was also very nice and crunchy.
There were lots of activities to keep one busy, within the Hotel - the Gym, swimming pool and sauna were all good and clean.
Breakfast was excellent. I truly enjoyed the waffle, Cumberland sausage and baked bean.
The staff were helpful, pleasant and with a smile, ready to assist. Well done guys!
Fabulous breakfast. Lots of fresh fruit and yoghurts. Lovely pastries and croissants. The cold options are excellent! Lots of choice for cooked option. Though quality is variable. Large grounds to walk round/sit in the evening. Staff were polite and tried to help as things went wrong. BUT.
Booked and paid in advance through ExpediaBut not on the hotel system. Long wait while sorted.Given keys a double, but had booked a twin. Phone in room wired wrong so staff went to wrong room with new keys when I rang as system displayed an incorrect room number. Eventually got new room. Horrible marks on side of mattress base. (Old coffee stains apparently). Stains on ceiling. (Coke stains apparently). Dirty tea spoon. No tea bags. The room, though clean felt grimy as a result...
Finally, there was no safe, which I discovered when trying to put away my laptop. No maintenance on site so told to bring to reception and leave in office safe while out of room. One was installed the next morning, but it felt like one more thing not right.
Pool. Wonderful, but temperature varied between days. Sauna/Steam room/jacuzzi all had same issue. Day 1 great. Day 2. Too cold. Goosebumps in the jacuzzi. Gave up on those.
Fire alarm went off 3 times in one night. Once was 1.30 am. Not for long, but enough to destroy sleep. It feels like the place has gone downhill. Small details. No cookies in tea station. No mood lighting in evening pool session.
Fantastic hotel with great facilities, good size rooms and decent shower, safe area, ample parking space. Friendly staff. Price was very cheap for the quality of the hotel
Was a very nice stay, especially for the typical cost of staying in this hotel.
Food was good in the bar, and the room was clean, comfy and spacious.
I stayed here for work, and without a doubt will stay here again whilst in the area
