King Arthur Hotel was in a very convenient spot to explore the Gower. The staff were amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. The food was great and reasonable. Accommodation clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money.

THis is really one of the most amazing hotels, I have ever stayed in. Small, warm, with excellent restaurant and warm and very kind owner family (we had a chance to speak with lady and her son). We had an amanzing dinner at the pub, with fantastic food, but moreover memorable atmosphere of real pub - something that I have seen only in films before - people of all generations (from 5 to 95 years) were having great fun. Really, it was an experience to remember.

My stay at yhe hotel was amazing the staff were very helpful always on hand when you need them cannot thank them enough for our stay there. Will definitely be going back as this is now my 2nd time stay at this hotel.

The mattress was terrible. My back is still bad 4 days later and my fiancé is still struggling now with her back. It was so bad we couldn’t go for a walk the next day that we planned. Lovely staff and great food but totally ignorant to the impact our poor night sleep had that night. My 7 year old daughter couldn’t sleep for hours too as the music was really loud directly underneath our room which went on late despite being a Sunday night. Really frustrated that they ignored our complaints about the terrible night sleep we had. Won’t be staying again.

Afternoon Steve, thank you for your kind comments about our staff and your meal with us Sunday. I can see my colleague was in touch yesterday about your concerns. We want all our guests to have a great stay and I'm sorry you were unhappy. We have larger family rooms that might have been more suitable with bigger bed sizes and not being situated above the pub. We had one of these rooms free Sunday and our duty staff on the night would have been happy to help.

Service is outstanding
We stopped for 3 nights during "Twixtmas". Every member of the team we met was friendly and ready to help despite a full hotel and meal servings being fully booked. Tip is to always book ahead. The room, and the general environment was spotlessly clean, and the room we had was very well insulated and warm despite the weather outside. Car parking is available for free although spaces can get full and residents have no particular privilege. Meals here were good, probably the one issue we had was being sat at a table right in the main walkway that staff used to get to the kitchen, this was not great, but done to fit in a table for 2 when most of the others were set for larger groups. Breakfast was really good, a short but flexible menu, portion sizes were generous in return. The local area is good for walking and exploring, and the scenery is stunning. Overall a tremendously good break after the Christmas rush, in a very well run and welcoming hotel.

Beautiful hotel and pub
Great stay staff are wonderful very accommodating. We had dinner in the restaurant and I asked to move due to the screaming child running around so they obliged and got us a table ready in another room but then the family finally left and we decided to stay put and they were totally understanding! Room was lovely and clean, spacious with tea, coffee and biscuits! My only complaint was the hairdryer which you had to keep your finger on a button to use it which was tiring and for old people or if you have arthritis might pose a considerable problem.

Although regular customers for food this was the first time we'd had an overnight stay. It was a Christmas present for my wife and we both had a brilliant time. The annexe room was excellent, modern and spotless. The evening meal was the standard we've come to expect from The King Arthur, outstanding. But what makes The King Arthur that extra bit special is undoubtedly the staff. They combine professionalism perfectly with friendliness. The staff are King Arthur's best asset.

Great property for exploring the Gower region. The hotel does host weddings but this is set away from the main hotel dining area but you can hear music when you go back to your room. Wasn’t a problem for us but worth being aware of especially if travelling with children. Great hotel, would stay again.

A lovely hotel with a great bar. The food was excellent, both in the bar and the restaurant. A very comfortable bed and probably the only thing would be to suggest a hand grab bar over the bath.
