"Excellent property with a wooded lot. Very quiet area but still close to everything. We had a minor issue that I wanted to inform the owners of that did not need attention during our stay, yet they were able to send someone within an hour."

"My family stayed here over Labor Day weekend, and we really enjoyed our time! We especially loved how close the house is to the Falls and the Stone Maze, as well as the beautiful green space and rustic feel of the property. We also really appreciated that the property is pet-friendly—there was plenty of space for our puppy to run and enjoy. The closet in the primary bedroom was a great feature as well.My significant other and son also really enjoyed having the basketball hoop available, which was a fun bonus for the family.The only recommendation I would make is to replace the toilet, or at least the toilet seat, as it could use some updating (but understand the need to keep the “rustic” concept. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the property!"

"We had a wonderful stay. The house is very cute and has everything we needed for your mini vacation. We loved the fire pit, water front access, and comfortable living spaces. The hot tub was really nice as well. We ranged from age 82 to 17 and had a wonderful long weekend. This house is dog friendly and my pups were very comfortable as well. Host answered all our questions in a timely manor and gave us a detailed email on check in day. We would definitely stay here again. We did see a family of bears in the front yard one evening a Momma and her 3 babies, and we had several deer visit us each morning and evening. Oh and let's not forget the ground hog and squirrels."
Relaxing Deep Creek Escape w/ Hot Tub

"We had a lovely escape to the mountains. The cabin is situated in a wooded area on a ridge above the east bank of the Youghiogheny River. You can't see the river from the house in the summer but you can hear it! The cabin has several recent upgrades including new living room furniture, portable a/c - dehumidifier unit, and a real coffee pot. (Vrbo listing needs to be updated). It is quiet and peaceful but only a short drive to Deep Creek Lake and area state parks. The back deck is a great place to hang out. It was a good size for 2 people but would be cozy for more. The cabin was very clean and in great shape and the property manager was responsive to text message. Note that access to the cabin is via a short gravel road that had several potholes to navigate around. We have a low clearance vehicle and we were OK but had to be careful."

"House was very reasonably priced for a week stay. Check in and check out was a breeze. Conveniently located between Deep Creek and Oakland. Not sure how well the listing depicts it, but the back yard is basically the side of hill. It’s fully enclosed, which is great if you have pets but if you have kids and want to play yard games, it’s pretty much impossible to do because of the slope. Outdoor hot tub was easily accessible and fully functional. House is full of games and consoles and videos. No shortage of things to do or watch. Bedrooms are nicely arranged with TV’s in all rooms and the bathrooms, showers and whirlpool bathtubs are very modernized. The kitchen does need a little work. One of the gas eyelets was non functional on the stove as well as the ice maker in the fridge. I’ve had to be made by hand with trays. All of the shelves / holders were also missing from the refrigerator door which made storage a little difficult. If you’re only staying for a couple of days, not that big of an issue. But if you’re staying a week with 10 people, the lack of refrigerator space is really inconvenient. There is a mini-fridge in the basement but, again, it’s an issue of convenience.Overall, our experience was very positive and, given how reasonable the price was, we would stay there again."

"The house was perfect for our family group of adults, 2 children and one labradoodle. There was plenty to entertain everyone, including a hot tub, firepit, use of kayaks, a heated swimming pool and a full size pacman console.The kitchen was lovely snd well stocked.Beds were comfortable.The hostess responded quickly to all questions."

"Overall, a very nice place to stay. Very clean. Quiet. There are other houses nearby, but I never saw anyone coming or going. The only suggestion I would make for the host is some window AC units. The humidity was very high and unrelenting during our stay which made it hard to get good sleep. Each room has a small ceiling fan, but fans don't do much for humidity. Again, it was clean, quiet, nicely decorated with thoughtful details. I recommend it, just be mindful of the AC situation if it's something you need for your health or comfort."

"We had a wonderful time with the whole family, 10 adults and 4 children. There was plenty of room for everyone and we never felt on top of each other. The best part was we were right on the water with easy access to the kayaks and paddle boats supplied by the management. There was also a gorgeous pool and a small but adequate workout room within easy walking distance. Management was extremely responsive."
