The best area to stay in Suschow is the village centre, particularly around Dorfstrasse, for its convenience and access to local life.

This area is the heart of Suschow, offering a pleasant mix of traditional Brandenburg architecture and modern amenities. Dorfstrasse, the main street, runs through the middle of the village and provides easy access to the local bakery, a few small shops, and the village's historic church. It's a central point from which to explore the surrounding countryside.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will find the village centre ideal. It offers a chance to experience local German village life, with opportunities for gentle strolls through the fields or along quiet lanes. The area provides a relaxed setting, superb for unwinding and enjoying each other's company away from the bustle of larger towns.

For families, staying in the village centre offers practical advantages. Accommodations here often come with gardens or outdoor spaces, which are great for children. The proximity to the local bakery and small shops means essentials are always close at hand, making day-to-day logistics much simpler.

The best time to go to Suschow is during the late spring (May-June) or early autumn (September-October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

During these months, the temperatures are moderate, making it ideal for exploring the surrounding Spreewald biosphere reserve. You'll find the countryside green and in bloom in spring, or showcasing beautiful autumnal colours, great for boat trips or cycling along the numerous waterways and paths. It's a great time for nature lovers and those looking for a relaxing escape.

The summer months (July-August) are also popular, offering the warmest weather, which is great for enjoying the outdoor activities and open-air events. However, this is also peak season, so you can expect more visitors and potentially higher prices for accommodation.
