"I love the historical history of this hotel. I know its hard times right now to keep up the property (its large) and too expensive to cool the whole building; but the rooms are very nice and quiet. I would definitely stay here again, its a great value and not a long drive to the Galveston cruise terminal (about an hour). This is now my go to for a night before boarding."

"The lady at the front desk was so sweet and kind. I asked her where the nearest shop to buy my son a boogie board was and she gave him one of her own. She saved this Mom time so I got to spend more time with my family instead of shopping. It was less than a one minute walk to the beach. The beds were clean and decently comfortable, we will definitely be back."

"Internet went out and Ashley was so helpful to get it repaired. Cynthia came and stayed with the repairman so we could leave. Kitchen was equipped with dishes and utensils. I would like to have more room to have stored items we brought with us. It had elevator which helped with someone with bad back. There was some minor repairs needed such as inside showers missing handles and 2nd floor sliding door would not lock and some lights were out to name a few. "
"This property is great. The kids ( teens) loved the mini putt-putt and swings underneath on the ground floor almost as much as the beach.
They enjoyed the board games you had there and connect 4 and cornhole. Loved having the private cross over to o the beach and the kitchen is very well equiped with pot, pans and utensils for cooking.Only issue we had to call in the owner for was the lock box. There is one downstairs which apparently is just for the maintenance worker and it wouldnt open with our code. It's the lock box on the upper deck that had the key for the front door. Owner promised to put a small sign downstairs directing future guests to the proper lockbox upstairs to avoid confusion. "

"We enjoyed our stay very much. The check in process was very easy, the house was clean and smelled clean as soon as we walked in. The house is pretty spacious and I loved the decor. The owners have great communication, they respond promptly. The communication has nothing to do with complaints or concerns just a question here and there and we got answers rapidly and very helpful. They provide with more than most places we have stayed and we just had a lovely time there, definitely recommend and we will definitely be back again. "
