Great location, the beach is right over the road and the units are modern and clean. Only reason for the 4 stars in the private rooftop was closed for repair and we couldn’t use it. Disappointing for sure, the staff did provide some vouchers for the nearby surf club. The staff are all very nice and helpful. Would recommend this place for sure.

We stayed at the Grand Palais for 9 nights in a standard ocean front apartment - my husband, myself and our 2.5 year old. The apartment was much bigger than I expected and the furniture and kitchen were more modern than what I remembered from the photos. Beds were comfortable, TV in the lounge and master. We loved the spa bath, however the bathroom could definitely use an update. There were a couple of things that could be improved such as an updated fridge - we struggled to get it cold enough, and a good clean as some of the walls were really grubby. It’s a 17ish minute walk (with a pram) to Mooloolaba and there are hill, we found this pretty easy as we are relatively fit and made the trip most days. The pool was close to our room (and is to most rooms I assume by the lay out)and was incredibly loud when children were playing and yelling. Customer service was incredible and my son was even gifted a really gorgeous teddy from one of the staff which we called “Alex”. The area surrounding was nice with a couple of options to eat which were all pretty tasty however. All in all, great!

The property was comfortable and in a great location and had everything we needed. The pool was really lovely also. My only complaint is the traffic noise during the day when we were on the balcony. Next time we’ll stay in a rear apartment or one higher up.

The moment we arrived at check-in Wendy welcomed us. Our stay was very relaxing. The heated pool was excellent. Parked the car securely and walked everywhere, great position. Lots of dining options nearby. Will certainly return.

This hotel is situated in the heart of Alexandra Headland and faces the ocean. The apartments are spotlessly clean and well appointed with comfortable beds, spa, washing machine and dryer, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The outdoor pool is charming and has seating and a bar equates. There is secure underground designated parking for each apartment, the staff were friendly and helpful and communicated well so that we enjoyed a seamless stay.

We were very disappointed at the condition of our unit (26). There was a cockroach in the corner of the lounge when we arrived which was not a good start. We got all ready to cook breakfast on the first morning and were discussed with the state of the cookware - the frypan was caked with burnt on grease and was filthy inside and out as was one of the saucepans too. Also the cooktop had caked on grease which was difficult to get off. I had forgotten to pack my slippers so was walking around barefoot indoors until I looked at my feet - they were black! The washing machine was out of the ark ( a model from the 80’s) and shook the whole unit when spinning. All in all this place was not maintained in the way it should be to accomodate guests and was overpriced for its condition. We have stayed at several lovely places between Noosa and Alexandra Headlands but Grand Palais was not worthy of any recommendations.

AC and fans not working, ok in winter i guess, but like to sleep with a fan on. The main light in bedroom is attached to fan so wasnt working - i think batteries needed to be replaced. Lamps in bedroom kept flickering so unplugged from wall, apart from that very enjoyable stay with young children.

I had such a great stay here. Everything was perfect, fast wifi. Full kitchen. Close to walk to many restaurants. The Alex surf life saving club was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Fabulous location. Bus stop and beach immediately opposite. Easy walking distance to eateries and shopping. Staff were wonderful. Units are however showing their age. Underground parking a bit of a squeeze. We would stay again but not at full price.

The only thing that was negative was the water fall noise on ground floor running all night. Needed to be turned off during sleep hours or seal doors better.

The property is very well maintained, the staff are efficient and polite. Location is great if you want surf directly across the road, skate park and short walks to restaurants. My only negative is that I dislike shower/bath combinations; they could easily transform it to a straight shower.

Very happy
Great location opposite the beach and close to the surf club. Janelle and Steve were super helpful and more than happy to share their local knowledge. Everything in the unit was in good working order. All-in-all everything worked without an issue. Rooms were private and we did not hear any noise from other guest.
