"Place was beautiful and well laid out. The host Kendra was very responsive with any questions. Hot tub was great and they even supplied firewood for an outdoor fire, (we ended up not using) Nice sitting areas on both front and back porches. Beds were comfortable and the place was super, super clean. Not many neighbors. If you like a quiet pretty place in the woods, this fits the bill!"

"Unplug and getaway from hustle and bustle. We had everything we needed and especially enjoyed sitting on the deck looking birdwatching while having a glass of wine. You might need a 4 WD vehicle to navigate the last bit of road before driveway. We have a Subaru Outback and had no problem. I highly recommend the Bluegrass Mercantile for any last minute grocery items. They had the best, huge Steamed Shrimp and Hushpuppies!"

"Fri & Sat night in Mid May. Just like it’s listed. Beautiful. Country. Gravel roads. Pond in the very back of house. 3 bedrms, 2 bath. Big den/living room. Kitchen was ready for us coffee drinkers! Nice snacks & homemade danish ❤️. Comfy beds, quiet surroundings, beautiful horses, and I wish we had more time to hang out in the neighborhood. Fire pit ready to go. Deck is really nice. Bit of a drive to JMU, but…. The drive is beautiful."

Plus the fishing was great for native brook trout right out the back door. Owner provided everything you needed plus more. Bed was very comfortable after fishing every day for 12 hours straight.
