"My husband, five year old and I stayed here for 3 days. We really enjoyed our stay! It was a beautiful open floor plan, artistic decor with big slider windows leading out to the patio. At night there was a wonderful cross breeze and sounds of geckos and coqui frogs floating on that breeze. We also wound up driving north around the island to the west side a bit more than towards Hilo. Just sitting on the porch and looking out at the sky & ocean was so peaceful. "The house was located in a very local neighborhood, neighbors were parked in our parking spot. The code for the house was not in the email we received, when we called the contact number it was out of service. Self check in process was difficult. The inside of the house was beautiful but there were roaches all over the house dead and alive, as well as cockroach feces. "A very convenient location for staying in Waimea-- there are two supermarkets and one health store across near by. Several restaurants/coffee shops within a mile and a lovely 1 mile (2 mile round trip) nature path across the street. It is a bit of a drive to Kona or Hilo but still accessible. Email the hotel with your information (email address) even if you intend to check in before 4 PM (flight delays etc) so they can email you with how to check in after hours. Staff were friendly in person and on the phone. In addition to a coffee maker, my standard room had a mini fridge which allowed me to store snacks/produce w/o fear of spoilage or pests."
