R&S Lakeside Cottage Beautiful Large Sand Beach Door County Limestone Fireplace

Our Cottage is only 10 minutes from downtown Sturgeon Bay and yet offers the Cozy atmosphere of a recently blacktopped one lane rustic road and friendly neighbors. Our Sand beach is Awesome, Great for those morning walks to watch the sunrise with your pet and when the full Moon rises at dusk . This area has been a favorite for tourists for almost 100 years and they keep coming back sometimes permanently. A short walk to to the pierhead Lighthouse and just down the road from The Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Land Trust hiking area with excellent walking trails. Pet friendly with 2 bedrooms with queen-size beds, 2 couches and a rollaway bed comfortable for 4 adults . We have Central Air conditioning and heating for year round comfort. The inside of the cottage has been completely updated keeping with the Historical character of the original Cottage using locally grown lumber whenever possible. There is wood burning fireplace for those cool nights, a screen room off the kitchen and a small front patio out front and a firepit on the beach to relax outdoors . For our security, There is a outside security camera overlooking our parking areas and back yard.

A perfect place at the lake

R&S Lakeside Cottage was wonderfully cozy and comfortable. Exceptionally clean and well-appointed. Beautiful views of Lake Michigan. We enjoyed our stay and would return!

Great location

Spectacular location, right on pristine and very private walkable beach. Firepit on beach and great wood burning fireplace, all set up and ready to go. Cabin is updated and very nice. Pictures don't do justice as to how clean, comfortable and nice it is. The host, Russ, was very accommodating and responsive.

Great place on a great lake

We love this place so much this is our 3rd stay here. It is clean, cozy, quiet, comfortable and has amazing views of the lake! It is the perfect place to unwind and get some "lake therapy."

Great lakeside cabin

Great cabin with the beach right across the street. Saw the Northern Lights on our visit and plenty of stars at night. Quiet location and good for a chance to rest and relax!

Beautiful views and beach

Great place to stay. Everything we needed, comfortable, clean and amazing views out the front window. We enjoyed having meals or coffee at the table by the front window that looks out to the beach or taking a walk along the shore and enjoying the views. Nice front and back yard area for us and our dog too.

Perfect Cabin

Wish I was the owner of this property. Absolutely lovely quiet street it's on with the most amazing beach this side of the lake. Honestly everything about it was perfect.

Perfect getaway

We had a wonderful visit. The view from the cottage couldn't be better and we took daily beach walks right outside. Everything was clean. I highly recommend staying if you want a quiet beachside vacation.

Lake Cottage

The views were great! Proximity to the beach is phenomenal. Cabin had everything we could ask for. Wifi is great. We loved the privacy. Couldn't recommend more highly.

First Stay in Door County WI

Our family of four rented this wonderful cabin for our first trip to Door County. The property was comfortable, clean, charming, and the location/ view were amazing. The owners made us feel very welcome and they thought of every detail- right down to dry firewood for the beach fire pit. We will be back!

Great Place to Relax and Explore

This place was fantastic. Perfect for a long weekend getaway. The location is great - unencumbered views of Lake Michigan with about a mile of unpopulated beach for my wife, my dog and me to explore. Wonderful!

Our family of four had the most delightful and relaxing stay in Sturgeon Bay! The rental is steps from the lake and we were so calmed to wake up every day to the endless blue of the water. We had plenty to do during the days driving around Door County and nights we cozy at the rental. Many thanks to our hosts for their warm welcome qnd hospitality!

This was the perfect combination of comfort and coziness with a gorgeous view! Russ is an excellent host, and has thought of everything. Plus, the location was convenient to all we wanted to do and see. We look firward to a return visit. The bonus was our golden made a new four-legged friend.

Absolutely Wonderful!

Wonderful lake front cottage with beautiful view of Lake Michigan. A+++ cleanliness and comfort. Beds were fantastic! Communication with owner, Russ, was excellent and he is very attentive and available without being intrusive. He is also very understanding - Lol - Thank You Russ for being so gracious with us.

Perfect getaway

From the time we pulled in the cabin driveway, we were “home”. My husband is working in Mount Pmeasant, WI and our Best friends from Louisiana came you and wanted a great place to stay. The Cabin had everything we needed except a washer/dryer. Right across from the property, we had access to the beach area. Even though it rained every day, we had a great time looking for and painting rocks. Mr. Russ has amazing communication and We highly recommend this place.

Birthday weekend

I really loved this place. Roomy, clean, had every comfort. Comfy beds.. Beach right out the door. Enjoyed my coffee with the sunrise. I will go back here. Only downside was the water in cabin. Kinda stinky. But not a deal breaker for the peaceful place. And best part we were able to take our loved pup!!!!

WONDERFUL!

This was a perfect place! Everything made us feel like “home” with location, location, location! So many kind and thoughtful touches all around the home. Everything was comfortable and sunlight. The view from the front room is spectacular; the overall space including a back screened porch makes the home feel “open”. Everything from brochures about local places of interest to ample bottled water put a focus on the “guests.” Importantly, the home was spotlessly clean. We were grateful to stay at Russ and Stacy’s cottage for several days with our recently adopted dog where we enjoyed walking the beach with our dog in the morning and evening. This was a very enjoyable vacation for us! Also a great doggie park, Shiloh Road Dog Park, was only about 10 minutes away for our dog to run her energy off with some new puppy pals.

Amazing Beachside Location - Super Clean!

I just wanted to share a few words about the amazing time we had at this location. First, the location of the cottage is amazing - steps away from a beautiful beach and a great section of coastline. We were there at the end of what I would call the “tourist season” and we had the beach all to ourselves! The overall condition of the cottage was excellent, and the cleanliness was second to none.. The host did a great job providing lots of little creature comforts for us, and there wouldn’t be anything I could suggest to have had a more comfortable stay. This host is very pet friendly and we had a great time with our dog and letting him run up and down the coastline chasing birds! Communication with a host was excellent and at no time did we feel like there was an issue getting hold of him? Should we have any questions. I would highly recommend this losting and don’t have even the smallest amount of constructive criticism. We will definitely come back to this location again!
