Peaceful and secluded
The quieter side of Door County provides a very relaxing experience. We love the house, the fire pit and the location. Sunrise was absolutely stunning. Recommend that you put a bannister along those uneven stone steps leading down the hill.
We are regular goers of Door County, my parents used to have a place up for 15 years and this is by far our favorite location we’ve ever stayed. Enjoyed walking around on the rocks below and made sure to bring a tripod for family pictures that looked professional! House size was just right for us and loved the screened in porch at night. We hope to stay again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property is on a quiet road and very private. The view and sounds of the lake were so relaxing. There was a nice selection of movies and plenty of kitchen basics. It made a great home base for exploring the area, and had plenty of comfortable common spaces for times we wanted to hang out at home. We would love to come and stay again sometime!
We really loved the house, it was clean and orderly. It was nice to not have to worry about needing trash bags etc. The new stairs to the lake was my favorite part. Very comfortable home. We will happily book again. Thank you so much!!
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the access to the shoreline. We had an issue with the septic alarm going off and had to call the property manager. He answered right away and told us how to silence the alarm. We appreciated the quick response. My only suggestion would be updating the oven. We would definitely stay here again.
I was a bit surprised by the other five-star ratings, but those could understandably be based on the property's nice waterfront location at a relatively low price. Communication with the property management was excellent, the nice linens and towels were appreciated, and the rocky shoreline is beautiful. The oven is rusting and the interior of the oven is filthy. Stained and old bathroom fixtures are in strong need of updating. A sign next to the toilet reads, "Please Double Check the Toilet So It Is Not Leaking", which shouldn't be the responsibility of the renters. Some quick sweeping of dirt and spiderwebs on the screened-in and exterior porches would be nice. Minor fixes like these show respect for the renters and enhance their experience, a necessity no matter how low a rental is priced. The house could be a gem with some minor work, most by the owner, some by housekeeping.
The house was in a very quiet neighborhood. Great location to check out all the towns in the area! Appreciated the coffee and quick response with issues.
This house is on a beautiful spot close to the lake, with sturdy steps down to the water and a firepit at the top. It was clean and outfitted well with linens, towels, etc. The kitchen is adequate if you're doing simple meal prep but would be challenging if you're looking to make a bigger, more involved meal. Dining areas are spacious and nice. Check in and out were easy and communication with owners was smooth.
Loved our stay! Upgrades are lovely. A couple things might make the experience better for guests: salt/pepper & cooking oil and a non-scratch pot scrubber!
We had a very nice stay. Beautiful view of the lake, quiet, calm, pleasant. Home has been updated and is comfortable. Full kitchen, screened porch, comfortable rooms. Just outside Jacksonport with easy access to the lake side of Door County, or a quick jaunt across the peninsula to the bay side. Would definitely recommend.

Spring on Lake Michigan
We loved this cabin on the quiet side of Door County. Very clean, decorated beautifully, comfortable beds and amazing views of Lake Michigan. Access to water via sturdy new stairs. No beach but beautiful big rocks to sit on and take in the shoreline. Bathroom is very nicely renovated. We cooked in all nights and kitchen is roomy but could use a few more serving bowls. Screen porch is also lovely , but a bit cool for us to use much this time. We will be back. Highly recommend this property. We were two couples and it was perfect space for 4 . Close to Jacksonport .
We had such a great time at this cozy lakeside retreat! It's perfectly situated—just a short hop to Jacksonport and Bailey’s Harbor—so exploring Door County was a breeze. The house itself felt like a little haven, with comfy beds, a roomy updated bathroom (seriously, that shower pressure deserves its own shoutout), and a view of the lake that made morning coffee taste even better.Evenings were made for the screened-in porch—ideal for games without the bugs—and we capped off most nights around the fire pit, which quickly became a favorite hangout spot.A few things we didn’t catch in the listing (our bad!)—no A/C, no washer/dryer, and no grill, so if you're planning a cookout or traveling with a pile of laundry, plan accordingly. Also, the bedding was a bit on the lighter side—two thin sheets and a spare blanket—so if you like to be toasty, you might want to bring a throw or two.All in all, it was a charming spot to unplug, recharge, and enjoy the best of the area. We'd happily come back!
