This B&B is a historic and interesting building that has been kept up well. Asian inspired decor gives it a unique flavor, and William has made sure it has everything you need. Our room, the "New York" was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding, as William is an excellent cook. Overall a very pleasant stay. The walk to town was about 15-20 minutes, butless than 10 minutes to the Festival Theater.
The Queen and Albert is a charming B&B, conveniently located for both the theatre and restaurants. THis is our second visit and we again were pleased with the full hot breakfast in the morning and enjoyed the sun filled lounge for a quiet spot in the afternoon or for a post- theater visit.
We will definitely use the The Queen and Albert on our next visit to Stratford.

On arrival, I pulled into the diagonal parking lot, there were 2 metal poles so I couldn’t pull up far enough to allow the next guest to drive in the parking lot, so I backed up and parked in 2 slots so the guest behind me could pull in off the street. Then these guests and another guest helped me back my car out into the street. The parking lot was very narrow; it was tight between the building and other parked cars. I parked in the street and went to check in. The host said, “You parked in two parking places.” I explained what had happened and he admitted that he knew I had immediately moved my car. He told me to park in the street during the day, at night wait until the other guests were parked and then pull my car into the lot and just block everyone in. It is illegal to park in the street overnight. He said my car was too large (it is a minivan).
The next morning I was unable to get on the Wi-Fi, he rebooted the modem and told me it wasn’t his fault. He continued to be very condescending during the entire 2 day stay. I would not recommend staying here because on inadequate parking, beds hard with plastic covers, breakfast is not served until 9am, no water pressure in shower when someone else in the building uses water, and unfriendly host.
I come to Stratford every year and have found all the people I have met friendly and helpful. It is a wonderful, enjoyable place to visit. This is my first unsatisfactory lodging experience here.
We have been staying at this B&B for 8 years. The location can't be beat. We can walk to all the theatres and most of the restaurants in town. Breakfast are delicious but not too over filling. The inn keeper is charming and willing to do whatever he can to make your stay enjoyable.
My daughter and I always stay here on our annual visit for Stratford. This B&B is located in a quiet residential area but we have found we can easily walk downtown to the theatres, shops, and restaurants, as well as to the Festival Theatre and the waterfront.
We have stayed in both the Paris and San Franciso rooms. They are decorated in a manner that makes them interesting and they are charming, comfortable, and always impeccably clean. The rooms have a small bar size fridge...a nice touch for storing your Rheo's chocolate, water, or wine! 😀 We are going to try the New York room next time.
Breakfast is prepared by the host and always includes fresh fruit and something hot and delicious. There are several very good restaurants in easy walking distance, and Rheo's chocolate is just up the street!
Book early or you may be disappointed.
Thought maybe the owner was a dedicated royalist, but the name comes from the intersection of Queen & Albert streets, where it's located. Very clean. Have been to Stratford half a dozen times before & this time we had the most spacious room we've stayed in. Bright, light-filled breakfast room. Considerate host. Good breakfast. Very close to the Festival theater. Quiet street just a block off the main drag.
