Excellent location, right next to the Cathedral. The rest is not great. The single room was extremely small, especially the bathroom. There is no air conditioner. The room felt like a sauna. Management provided a fan, which didn't help much. I would not stay there again.

The single bed room was the smallest so far among where I have lived in Europe. The bathroom was therefore also the smallest I have ever experienced, which was not very convenient for showers. The location was top. The staff speaks English and was friendly. The service team in the breakfast cafe was not as friendly as the hotel staff but okish. Overall, I would recommend the place for small budget travellers but I myself wouldn't choose it the next time I visit Strasbourg.

This property was perfect!! It is an authentic French local gem! It is in a historic building outside the Cathedral and close to everything. Our suite was well appointed and a great size for our family of four. We loved the Cafe for breakfast, the Cathedral bells, and the sounds of daily life in Strasbourg. If you are looking for a chain hotel this is not for you!

A wonderful small hotel near the Cathedral - easy walk to all the things we wanted to see in Strasbourg. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and good breakfast.

The location of this hotel is incredible. It's literally 10 feet from the Cathedral plaza. You can walk everywhere. The staff is extremely friendly and there is a cafe on site for breakfast and drinks in the evening. It's a charming European hotel. For Americans, the rooms might feel extremely small and a little shabby, but our family wanted an authentic experience and we loved this hotel.

The Hotel Suisse is a charming hotel, an amazing location and wonderful staff. Strasbourg is a magical and charming place, and the Hotel Suisse made my time in Strasbourg even more magical! Great and quaint hotel. The breakfast was wonderful! The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Wonderful experience!

Beautifully decorated for Christmas, a cute and traditional hotel with friendly staff, a delicious breakfast buffet and high-standard rooms. Located just beside the Cathedral in the historic centre of Strasbourg, it is close to all of the tourist sites and right beside the Christmas market. What more could you want?

Great location, right next to the cathedral and the Christmas market. Wonderful staff, special thanks to Madlen for attention and help in everything, very good internet and a nice restaurant in the hotel. Despite the fact that the single room is very small and the furniture is no longer new, this was offset by a very good bed, very clean bedding and towels, and the presence of a lovely bathrobe in the room

Location is a plus
The location of the hotel was wonderful. It is right off the cathedral plaza, far enough away to not have noise from the restaurants and bars, but close enough for a quick walk to enjoy the area. The room was small, was not air conditioned and the circulation was not very good. It was nicely decorated and very clean. The chocolate shop right next to the hotel served the best hot chocolate ever!

Charming scenic hotel with view to cathedral!
It is a lovely hotel, charming, in a great location, very nice staff. Only little minus is that for a family room (which we booked), two french beds are not so ideal - 4 people are quite a bit crowded in there and it is not too comfortable to sleep that way. But all else was amazing!

I really appreciated the option of leaving my suitcases at the hotel before check-in time. I had two rooms, and one room was ready and we left the bags in that room. Great 24 hour service at Front Desk and a wonderful breakfast in their hotel for an additional charge.

Overpriced and Indifferent
It's clear that they way up their price during the holiday season. We paid more than double their normal rate-$185/night for a very tiny room. We were willing to deal with it, because we knew it was the holiday season, but because they way overcharge for this time they should consider hiring extra staff. All of the staff members were polite, but they were also always very frazzled. The energy was not great. The room was kept clean and the wifi worked. The shower has been redone, which is nice, but it is very tiny too. The location is good, but keep in mind that your luggage and any time you have a bag will have to be checked when entering this area. I'm sure this is due to the recent terrorist attack and understand it completely, but it would have been nice to have gotten a heads up from the hotel. The final poor part of a goodbye was that we checked our luggage with the hotel staff, and we had small bags (with breakables) that another guest had moved (why were they allowed to touch our bags that were placed in a corner out of the way?) and for some reason giant hardshell cased suitcases were put on our soft backpacks. It was very upsetting. If you can't trust your bags with a place then why are you paying them? The receptionist that we checked our bags with merely shrugged and said, "well you have your bags don't you?" As if I should feel lucky that our bags weren't taken. We certainly wouldn't stay here again, and we definitely wouldn't stay during holiday season.
