"The front desk was very helpful and the breakfast buffet was very well done. The room was very bare though. There was nothing to unpack your suitcase into like drawers so had to keep everything in the suitcase for five days and the location. If you didn't rent a car, bus transportation was a nightmare. Got lost numerous times as the driver did not announce upcoming stops and no monitor working saying the next stop. If you have a car, it's about a 20 minute ride to downtown."

"The staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. The hotel is 20 minutes walk from the Harpa concert hall and much closer to the main shops. The FossHotel is well located. (On a map it's close to the Hofdi) It's a huge hotel and very busy at breakfast as several groups/tours will be getting ready to get out at the same time. Bus stop 12 for tour pickup is right outside (a good thing) but several tour buses turn up around 9.15 and chaos ensues! This is not the fault of FossHotel and if you're relaxed about it it's quite entertaining. We would happily stay there again."
