The Beach Inn Motel

"Breakfast was great and a nice start to the day. Having dinner outside and watching the sunset over the water in the back yard was amazing. Grandson loved running around and casting his fishing pole in the big back yard as well. Very nice little hotel. Will definitely stay there again."

"It was a decent place to stay for what it was. The supply/demand of the area meant that it was pretty expensive for what it was, but it was decent. The room didn't have any weird smells and was generally clean. I'm not sure if all rooms had this, but the shower was installed pretty low, so be warned if you are taller than, say, 5'-5" or so. If you end up in the area past 10 pm there are not a lot of food options available so plan appropriately, and don't trust the hours posted on google."

New Cozy Tiny Cabin Nestled in the Hiawatha National Forest

"We loved the cabin's location away from paved roads. It was super clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We especially enjoyed getting out on the kayaks to cruise around the private lake and getting up close to a pair of Trumpeter Swans. One day was spent touring the Pictured Rocks, another canoeing down the AuTrain River, and a third hiking to Miner's Beach. Am planning to return next fall."

"Hands down, the best place to stay in the UP! The amount of care the owners put into this really shows. Peaceful, quiet, very clean, lots of amenities, entertainment, and appliances that provide anything and everything you would need for your stay. Very pet friendly with a beautiful yard and wooded trails off the back of the property (our favorite!). I can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back!"

"Place was perfect for unplugging and relaxing. We did take our own propane camping sized grill to grill outside on instead of messing with charcoal. We also brought small rechargeable camping fans to circulate some air at night when sleeping. Although we could purchase firewood from the host we took some of our own and ended up being all we needed. We spent 5 nights- 2 adults. The host was a great communicator and checked in on us by text during our stay. Would definitely stay again in the future!"

"We had a fantastic time at this cabin. For starters the communication with the home owner was great! Very clean! They had a gas and charcoal grill which was very nice. This was the perfect place for our UP vacation. The stars, the quiet, and the wild turkeys!! It was about 20 minutes from town. 40 minutes to Miners Beach (our fave). We forgot a couple things upon check out and the owners were quick in communicating that we could go back to the property and retrieve our items. Will look to stay here again when we visit the UP! Thank you Jax :)"
