Great location and clean motel. The deck and view of the bay was nice. Hotel was quite and peaceful. Linens and sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room had a small kitchen which was nice to make a quick breakfast and coffee. The location was easy to find and had ample parking for us and other guests. The front desk staff was person was very nice but a little hard to communicate with. Overall a great experience at the Sunset.

This Motel is perfect for what it is supposed to be , a quaint lodging on the bay which connects to Lake Superior. Quiet , humble. Coffee available in Office first thing in the morning. This is not a Hyatt or Marriott. We loved our short stay and the incredible dark sky at night and beautiful sunset , sunrise.

Enjoyed the view location and staff. Room was good. Only one problem, we did see a mouse in our room. Mentioned it to a gal who was doing the cleaning when we left. Still not a deal breaker. Would stay again. Just recommend some traps.

The view was absolutely beautiful, and the room was very clean! The only suggestion I have would be to offer assigned parking, as it would make the stay even more convenient. Overall, we had a great experience!

Great location right on the water. Staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are dated, curtain rods fell off the holders when you tried to move, space to get to the shower very tight (poor layout), cars park right in front of your window/lake view, breakfast is pre-packaged and not good. The maid cart was left right outside our door the entire length (2 nights) of our stay. Overpriced in my opinion.

Had a great stay here. It's an older motel, but well maintained. Room was clean, area was quiet and can't beat the view looking at the bay. Our room, on 2nd floor, had a good layout. Kitchen and tv area had a good seperation from the bedroom. Appreciated having the chairs and tables by the water to enjoy the view and have a snack.

This property is in a fabulous location and has a ton of potential, but it seriously needs some love. The exterior looks pretty bad and the interior of our room was really bad. The drape covering the big front window was ripped off the rod and we couldn't re-attach it so it gaped open all night. Carpet, furniture, everything is old and seemed damp and musty. I would love to stay here again after a little fixing up. Loved the location and the staff was friendly and helpful.
