Ca Veggia for nature lovers, Stellanello, Italy
Stay in this beautiful, 16th-century converted house, the oldest in the tiny village of Caio. A unique property, which would suit a large family or 6 friends. On the hillside, spread over 3 floors, the house has 2 separate entrances and lovely outdoor spaces for guests to enjoy.
The first entrance, on the top floor, is shared with the owners. On this floor, guests will find a large, elegant living room with panoramic views over the valley. The room is tastefully decorated with some lovely antique furniture, including armchairs, a sofa and extensive bookcases, as well as an attractive dining table.
The kitchen is also on the top floor and it is here where guests can appreciate the original features of the house, including a marble sink and large chimney breast. It is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and Mokka coffee machine.
There is a spacious, semi-shaded terrace on this top level, with a table and chairs, where guests can enjoy meals al fresco, with beautiful views out over the valley.
The middle floor includes a bedroom with a separate bathroom and a cosy nook to read in peace.
On the ground floor, which has a separate entrance, there are 2 further bedrooms and another bathroom. There is also a kitchenette, which is ideal for early morning coffee or a snack.
The private garden on this lower level, includes a gazebo, a pergola, a dining table and chairs.
Sleeping Bedroom 1: The sunny master bedroom has a double bed, an antique wardrobe and a chest of drawers, plus comfortable armchairs. Double French windows lead out onto the balcony. Bedroom 2: This second-floor bedroom has 2 single beds, which can be joined by prior arrangement, plus an extensive bookcase and a large mirrored wardrobe, Bedroom 3: On the lower floor, this bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds, which can be joined by prior arrangement. A glass door opens onto a terrace.

Location The semi-detached cottage is in a rural setting, however, there are grocery shops only 5 minutes away. The house is ideal for people who are keen to get out into nature to go hiking, mountain biking and motorbiking in the stunning Ligurian hills.
The town of Andora is just 20 minutes by car. Here there are plenty of shops as well as a lovely beach. Andora’s weekly market is on Mondays and offers the chance to try and buy the best local ingredients to cook at home.
The town of Alassio (30 minutes) is a popular resort. The Budello is a charming pedestrian street, full of interesting shops and cafés for you to explore. The town is known for its Art Nouveau architecture and the Muretto di Alassio which is tiled with the signatures of many famous visitors, including Ernest Hemingway and Jean Cocteau.
The closest airports are Genoa airport, a 1 hour and 30-minute drive or Nice airport in France which is 1 hour and 35 minutes, from the apartment.

Der Aufenthalt war super. Eine sehr schöne ruhige Umgebung. Die Unterkunft ist voll ausgestattet uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Die Vermieter sind sehr liebe und hilfsbereite Menschen, sie waren immer sofort für uns da, wenn wir etwas gebraucht haben.

Altes saniertes Haus mit schöner Terrasse und Loggia
Im Haus ist alles da, was man braucht. Die Küche ist zwar spärlich möbliert, aber trotzdem in vielen Nischen und auf Konsolen und Haken viel Geschirr, Besteck und Kochgeschirr. Es gibt zum Glück eine Spülmaschine. Beim Kochen muss man allerdings zum einen Geduld haben (Propangasflasche) und sich zum anderen ziemlich verbiegen, da der Herd in einer niedrigen Nische steht. Von der Küche aus geht man in eine schöne Loggia zum Essen oder Verweilen, selbst bei Regen kann man gut dort sitzen.
Achtung beim Verwenden der Sonnenschirme, die Ständer sind zu klein, so dass diese schon bei leichten Windstößen umkippen, wir haben sie nach dieser Erfahrungmit Seilen gesichert.
Die Betten waren für unseren Geschmack zu hart. In zwei Schlafzimmern stehen jeweils 2 Einzelbetten, im unteren dritten Schlafzimmer mit Ausgang auf eine sehr schöne Terrasse steht ein Doppelbett, das ist allerdings nur 1,20 m breit. In der mittleren Etage gibt es noch einen Aufenthaltsraum, den wir aber kaum genutzt haben, weil wir uns die meiste Zeit im Freien aufgehalten haben.
Die Vermieterin war sehr nett, als es Probleme mit dem WLAN gab, hat sie sich sofort darum gekümmert.
Der Ort ist sehr klein, eigentlich nur ein Ortsteil - zum Essen oder Einkaufen fährt man am besten nach Andora oder Alassio (ca. 25 Minuten). Aber es gibt auch nette Restaurants in anderen Bergdörfern in der Umgebung.
