Welcome to Basecamp on the Yampa, an "EXCEPTIONAL" 3 bed 2.5 bath condo in downtown large terrace overlooking the Yampa River and huge mountain park (Emerald Mountain). Outstanding location on the quiet side of downtown and within walking distance to all things Steamboat, or a short bus ride away to skiing. With local Steamboat owners and over 200 5-star guest reviews this beautiful condo is a wonderful way to enjoy Steamboat Springs.

This very spacious (1760 sq feet) 3 Bedroom 2.5 Bath is beautifully furnished with an eclectic style and full of local art. We have an amazingly stocked kitchen for all of your cooking/baking needs. Each room has a smart TV with cable in main rooms and surround sound on main floor. We stock our unit with toiletries; hair dryers and cleaning/laundry supplies you need to for your stay. We use all natural, refillable or non-plastic products to reduce waste. The large deck has lots of seating and a gas grill and of course, views!

All bedrooms are located upstairs. The Primary Suite has a King Bed, on-suite bath with separate shower and tub and incredible views of the river. The large, second bedroom has a Queen Bed and the Third Bedroom has a Queen Bed and Twin XL. These two bedrooms share a full bathroom. Additional sleeping is by a very comfortable folding Queen mattress which can be used anywhere.

What makes this condo truly wonderful is the location. Located directly across from the Yampa River with amazing views you can hear the river when the windows are open. The bike path is located across the street. The library and Park are less than a block away. The Free Bus stop to the ski area is one short block away. Within walking distance are many restaurants, bars and shops but without the noise and congestion.

There is Private garage and additional parking for 1 additional car in a first come first serve lot.

Well behaved dogs with respectful owners considered. Please let us know when booking that you are bringing a pet. You must sign a pet agreement prior to your reservation.

Convenient Property in the heart of Steamboat

The condo was clean, lovely, spacious and in a perfect location. We loved the river views and being able to walk right out the front door to downtown. The host was helpful with questions/suggestions, generous and communicative!

We love staying here

This is the second time we stay and loved it even more than the last. The location is perfect, we walk everywhere. It was clean, spacious and so peaceful. We always go for a bike event and it just works out so perfectly. We always get immediate response to our questions. Honestly, don't think we'll stay any where else in Steamboat.

Great Place / Great Summer Location

We loved the place, location had a great time in Steamboat even with the COVID restrictions. We did have a major draw back with this rental... we were not notified of roof construction until we had already arrived... there was no sleeping past 7:15 am in the morning as the workers were stomping around on the roof = very disappointed only one weekend day to sleep in during our week of vacation. I would have booked another property if I had know this....

Steve is a great host! Been to steamboat many times, and this location is amazing! Right on the river, walkable to all downtown areas, shops, restaurants, and bars. Place was plenty big enough for 6 adults and little ones. Patio bigger than I thought too! Steve was fast to respond to all questions. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a good location!

Steamboat springs winter carnival stay

The place was perfection- best location for walking to everything in town, easy access to ski resort, very comfortable & well appointed. Details were covered from very comfy beds, to soaps & lotion, and to my husband’s delight (he’s a chef) everything needed for cooking & grilling including exceptional knives. Watching the carnival extravaganza from the balcony was a highlight!

Perfect VRBO experience!

This is by far the loveliest VRBO in Steamboat and five stars simply aren't enough! I booked this as a weekend getaway to see my boys at CMC, and after just one night, this became more like a home away from home instead of a landing spot. I wish I had weeks if not months to stay here! I found myself wishing for more time just to enjoy being in this welcoming home, with quality craftsmanship and beautifully appointed furnishings and artwork throughout. Everything is perfectly curated and the location could not have been better, in the heart of it all, yet nestled along the river, just a quiet block away from all of the main street activities. Every morning we enjoyed running along the river trail right across the street, coffee in the living room by the fire. and fresh cinnamon rolls and local farmer's produce at the Yampa Valley market just steps away from the front door. A yoga studio is right around the corner and fabulous restaurants all within walking distance. The hosts were so gracious and accommodating throughout our stay. This will always be my top choice to book on any return trip!

Clean, comfortable and homelike

We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, spacious rooms and the hospitality of this condo. Providing all of the cooking pans, grills, spices and more was more than expected! We walked from the property to go hiking, shopping, and to get dinner.

Great location! Comfortable and well furnished.

We spent a week here with our 7 and 8 year olds. The location is walkable to everything downtown and the trail on the river. Home is clean, beds are comfortable, parking is easy. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need! There can be a bit of street noise (as expected downtown) when you’re sleeping with the windows open but it ends early. Would definitely stay here again!

Location and Balcony Cannot Be Beat!

The location of the place is just awesome. We booked it solely for the balcony, and it did not disappoint. We’ve stayed at other places on Yampa, and they can get a bit noisy at night. This place being on 11th makes it a bit quieter. Awesome finishes, high end furnishings, and 1 block to Creekside Grill! Will definitely stay again.

Great property

We stay in Steamboat every other summer and this was my favorite property so far. The AC worked great (which is really important for Texans coming in july. We also appreciated how many stand fans they had available. Everything besides food is included (and r had more than enough toilet paper, paper towels, blankets, pillows … Everyplace we like to eat is within walking distance. We will absolutely stay here again. We own a rental property in Cabo and I would recommend this place hands down. Thank you for hosting us.

Simply the Best!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful property right on the Yampa River in Steamboat! The location is perfect, offering stunning river views and easy access to outdoor activities. The home is well-maintained, cozy, and equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. We particularly enjoyed the peacefulness of the surroundings and the convenience of being close to local attractions. Great location

Stayed for a week with 5 members of my family. Great location right across from the river. Short walk to town for dining or shopping. My family enjoyed sitting on balcony and playing games that were provided. Property clean and nicely decorated. Property owner responded quickly to any questions we had. Would stay here again.

Love Steamboat!

I frequently visit & love Steamboat….Initially we had some issues with the keyless entry being non operational. There was a lockbox (cumbersome for our elders)that we had to use to ensure all parties had access to freely come and go from the unit. Then finding the parking passes was our next challenge. Once all that was figured out then we were visited by maintenance (the next day) needing to do some measurements. Ugh! The rest of the time went well. It’s a spacious unit.

Great place and location

Spent 4 days in Steamboat seeing the sights. Had a great time. Place is in a great location within walking distance to the whole downtown area. It was well stocked and clean and host was very responsive to any questions. Will be staying here again next time we are in the area.
