Steam Donkey Cedar Cabin – Cozy Fireplace & River Views. Pet-Friendly!
Nestled in the woods of Sayward, this cozy cabin offers a peaceful escape surrounded by nature. Just a one-minute walk away is access to the Salmon River, across from the famous Cable House, a local landmark on Vancouver Island. The cabin sleeps up to four guests and features a fireplace, refrigerator, cooking essentials, and a BBQ on the terrace. It’s pet-friendly, and you might even spot elk nearby. Enjoy stargazing on clear nights, explore local walking trails, or visit the Sayward wharf 10 minutes away. Ski or snowboard at Mount Cain in winter (about an hour away), and don’t miss the annual Kusam Klimb race just 5 minutes from the cabin. Washroom and shower are about 20 meters away, behind the Cable House with private outdoor access.
