Weekend getaway!

This place is not only amazing to stay at, it’s so close to everything. So many amazing trails, and plenty of options for food. The pictures really don’t do this place justice. It was in perfect shape, and the hot tub was an amazing touch after a long day of hiking.

Relaxing with great views

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The large deck was great and we enjoyed the hot tub. Communication was great they even gave us a heads up about potential severe weather in the area. We will definitely be coming back to stay in the future.

Mountain rose cabin stay

We had a good time but the property wasn't really suitable for 2 adult couples. We needed 2 full bathrooms. It needs a thorough cleaning and we couldn't quite figure out the mattresses. We made it work but would look for a different property for our next visit

Beautiful, however, too many wasps inside

It was a beautiful cabin, however, we had to kill about 20 wasps the first night in the loft where my son was supposed to sleep. There were many dead bugs laying around the house and in the furniture. The pool table, hot tub, and camp fire area were very nice. Unfortunately, we had to check into a hotel due to so many wasps. My teenage son couldn’t sleep in the bed and had to sleep in a bed with me for the first night. We were stepping on wasps while trying to play pool so we checked into a hotel for the last night of our stay. I was disappointed in the lack of accommodations we were offered when we contacted the company the evening we arrived to complain about the amount of wasps we had inside. I contacted them again the following day and was told someone would be by to spray. I am sad to say that unless the wasp situation gets resolved, we won’t be returning nor do I recommend this property at this time.

Beautiful Cabin, Compassionate Staff, Highly Recommend All Wheel, 4x4, or Rear Wheel Drive!!

The one thing that stood out from the listing is that it did say that the driveway was steep. But upon arriving to the cabin I was not prepared for just how steep the driveway was. They were kind enough to understand my concerns and allowed me to park at the bottom of the drive off the road far enough for cars to pass by. The cabin was the last one on the road. Which was an added bonus with being able to park down there and not have to worry about thru traffic. We did have one other hiccup that was very promptly resolved/treated. We began to see some dead wasps upstairs when we went to check out the pool table. The pool table was our main selling point. We noticed a few dead wasps and a few live ones upstairs. With me being allergic to them, it really had me concerned. We were able to make it safe to stay there by sleeping in the smaller bedroom by making sure it first was clear of wasps and then placed a towel at the bottom of the door for added safety. The property manager messaged me back early the next morning and had someone one out that morning to take care of the active problem and left a can of spray for us to treat additional issues. They stated that they were unaware of the wasp issue and was appreciative that we let them know. We would consider returning in the future. This trip was our one year anniversary. Thanks to all those who help to take care of and manage this beautiful property. Your quick response to the wasps really made our stay enjoyable, thank you.

Great experience

First… getting there. Believe all of the reviews about the driveway… the whole road up to it and the drive way are no joke. AWD for sure. Second… the place was great. It was exactly as described. Mainly picked this place because of the pool table. They made repairs to the bumpers that were in previous reviews. Had no issues with balls jumping off the table. Great that there is a bed and bathroom upstairs… because after some pool and drinks… the spiral staircase could prove to be a bit difficult to navigate. Kitchen was a bit small as far as counter space but had everything you need. I enjoy cooking and brought some big New York strips (Stove top and oven for reverse sear) and some Korean short ribs (small grill outside) everything turned out fine. The porches were large and peaceful. The hot tub was hot and clean. With the weather being colder and the rain stopping in the evening… the hot tub was very relaxing. Only two issues… the shower head is pretty old school. Could definitely use an updated replacement. 2nd…there were some cleanliness issues. Overall the place was clean and tidy… but it looked as if the shower wasn’t cleaned after the last stay… and there were a bunch of dead flies in and around the window sills upstairs. Would be pretty hard to miss had it been swept in that area. And since a cleaning fee was part of the total cost…I thought those two things shouldn’t have been missed. Overall…it was an awesome couple days! Would book again for sure.

Red River Heaven

The cabin was perfect. Location to eveything is great, only a few miles to just about everything. It was super clean, the hottub was well maintained and the pool table was an added bonus.

Great Place Close to Nat Park

The cabin was exactly as advertised. Hot tub was nice and hot. Place was clean. Be prepared for a steep driveway to park.

Spring Break

The cabin is absolutely gorgeous! It’s away from other houses so very private and surrounded by nature. The beautifully decorated, very well maintained, and the hot tub is the icing on the cake. We loved everything about it!

Had a pretty bad wasp problem, but the maintenance team brought us wasp spray. Needed some more attention from the cleaning crew. Overall it was a decent experience.

Property is little outdated could been little cleaner but still nice enough, This place is a duplex which was odd didn’t see the owner who lives in the other unit, pool table is about to fall apart , driveway sketchy almost vertical hill could only back off no room to turn around, small tv no bigger than 25in …But most importantly is the nosey neighbors that live on the other side who likes to walk to there dog in the rain where u park and just walks up to where me and my wife are about to get in the hot tub and stares and is being nosey saying her dog wants to introduce itself , we stayed for 2 days so they new we was there… so if your wanting discrete it’s not there, I’m not trashing the place by all means it is nice if u just need place to crash for day or 2 it’s fine but I was disappointed in the price compared to other nicer/modern units available

Honeymoon stay

Very pretty neighborhood, beautiful views! Would do it again. Wonderful place for our honeymoon! Contrary to what some people said, there were no insect problems. However, I would recommend bring your own cooking stuff as hardly any supplies or utensils were provided.

Thanksgiving Holiday

Excellent property. We enjoyed relaxing there very much. The location was almost too convenient which took away some feeling of isolation Lol. We did however have a couple of instances enjoying the hot tub. The first two nights the breaker under the deck kicked out right after we got in. I was able to kick it back on the next morning so the water stayed hot. Only the third time we got in on the last night did the breaker stay on the whole time. Maybe something you might want to investigate. We will definitely stay again with Stay Over. We try a new cabin every year for Thanksgiving.

Pleasant cabin close to trailheads

The cabin is located very close to the Mountain Pkwy and easy to get to. The hills up to the cabin are quite steep, so make sure your car is up for that. Cabin was clean and comfortable. The contactless check-in was seamless. We had to contact property manager a couple times to fix minor issues and the manager was fantastic. Quick response and resolved issues. Cabin is very close to the Nada Tunnel side of RRG and also a short drive to Tunnel Ridge Rd where so many hiking trails are accessible. Would stay again.

Cozy, Private and Beautiful surroundings

The location is off the beaten path in a cozy place in the trees. It was very private and the hot tub was amazing to relax in! We would certainly consider another stay.

KY Stay-cation

We loved the Red River Gorge area, and this rental is close and makes you feel like you're right in the middle of nature! The house is clean and really cute, but may be difficult for visitors who have small children or physical limitations due to multiple steps leading up to the main living space and a wooden spiral staircase as the only access to the second bath, bedroom, and pool table. It would have been helpful to know that the road leading to the property was gravel with some potholes, because a higher profile vehicle would have made getting to and from the cabin easier. Checking in and out was spelled out very clearly by the rental company. Overall, it was a solid rental. We will definitely be coming back to the area!

Mountain Rose- Big Boulder

When we checked in the electricity was out at Mountain Rose, the driveway was VERY steep and tricky, the fridge was smelly and the hot tub cool. We called the property management who asked if we could wait a couple of hours to see if the electricity would come back on. (It was a day after heavy rains and winds. We couldn’t wait. We had just picked up groceries after a 3 up hill mile hike and a 1/2 day drive. We were quickly placed into another property Big Boulder. Which was beautiful much larger and everything was perfect! Should we come again we would want something like Big Boulder. Thank you to the management team for the quick resolution. This party of 4 70 year olds are grateful!
