The cabin was cozy and furnished with everything we could want. We stayed all week and were just as happy the last day as we were the first. We will come back to this place for years to come!

Cabin was very cute. The only downside was the towels and washcloths seemed to be all soured.

Loved the wooded surroundings and access to trails in the national forest from the property. Super comfortable and perfect for resting after hiking. Definitely felt like an escape from everyday life and was feeling very recharged when the stay was over.

Very quaint and refreshing, no tv distractions, limited on cell service as well. Driveway was a bit “rough” but we have a 4 wheel drive truck and I read the details before booking. Cabin was very cute and comfortable. We would stay here again!

The entire family had wonderful and relaxed time. It’s not too big yet comfortable and well equipped. The drive up was not something I expected but like other reviewers have said, 4x4 or at least an AWD is must you wish to drive all the way up to the cabin. Would definitely love to visit again!

I could not recommend this magical refuge more! The cabin was gorgeous, clean and comfortable. The area is quiet and secluded and surrounded by nature. There was a bad storm the second day of our stay, and we were so grateful to have such a cozy place to stay in, relax, and play games. The cabin is in the heart of the gorge and so convenient to trails and other points of interest. I can’t wait to stay there again!

The cabin was in a great location. The drive up to the cabin was a bit of a challenge. Definitely need a four wheel or awd vehicle. Quiet evenings. Due to a foot injury, we ended up staying at the cabin throughout the day and evening. So we got a chance to enjoy the tranquility of the area. The furnishings were great. We were surprised by the number of electrical outlets which was plentiful and strategic. I would recommend the cabin as a great getaway spot.

The cabin lives up to its reviews. It is beautiful with great views, peacful atmospheres, and is well decorated. The driveway is a steep climb, is narrow in places and recent rains have created washout places that leave bare rock in 5-6 inch drops or climbs. A 4x4 is definitely needed, but if yours is a wide full size truck that ravine on the driver side looks mighty close. The owners will let you park near their house if needed however so no worries, just hike up and then enjoy the rest of your evening by the campfire. Would recommend and stay again.

The place is very cozy with 2 bedrooms, so my son could have his own room. With 2 bedrooms: each in every floor, very convenient. The atmosphere surround the place was very soothing. With lots of trees around it, in secluded area, gave us sense of peace.
The owner is wonderful and did above and beyond to assist us. Thank you.
All wonderful experience.

This cabin is so charming. Comfortably and tastefully decorated. Tucked away on the side of the mountain. So peaceful. The drive up to the cabin is not motorcycle friendly but there is parking at the street. It is 384 feet up a pretty steep incline to the cabin. I have a bad heart so getting up there was difficult. If u are healthy don’t let the hike detour you. It is well worth it.

The driveway to cabin needs help, very steep. My all wheel drive barely made it up. Driveway needs some concrete places to give better tread. The owner was very helpful, we had an issue but they answered me promptly, however the cell service was not good. One spot in upstairs bedroom service came and went very scares. Not sure we would rent this again for the price.

I knew this place was going to be amazing when we were driving to it. The scenery is beautiful and we got to drive through the Nada Tunnel to get there. You definitely need a 4 wheel vehicle to get up the driveway (WOW). Once you arrive to the cabin, it feels like you’re in the middle of the woods all to yourself. Huge windows throughout the cabin make you feel like you’re outdoors the entire time. It was very tidy and clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. They have trails throughout the property that lead us to an adult playground. We stretched out looking at the sky on one of the tree house nets they had placed up there. What a little piece of heaven. I didn’t want to leave.

We needed a few days for a getaway and decided to come to RRG. So glad we did. After toughing out that driveway, we opened the door to the cabin and I immediately fell in love with the place. Just the right size, with everything we needed and then some. The owners texted us daily to check if we needed anything, but we didn’t need a thing! It was nice to be somewhat off the grid for a change. After a couple days of longish hiking, the beds were so comfy for these 70 plus year old bodies.it was so quiet, peaceful and secluded in the woods. Just what we needed. The mini splits worked great, as it got quite cold at night and in the a.m. Loved having Daisy around, at least for one day. We will be back, but it would be so very nice if there were screens in the windows downstairs to let it feel more like the outdoors inside. That was my only gripe. Thank you, Mary and Christopher

Absolutely loved our stay here. No wifi? No TV? No problem! It was a wonderful time to connect and very close to all the Red River spots we wanted to visit. The cabin is super cute and had everything we needed & wanted. Warning though, bring your 4WD/AWD vehicle because that driveway is Serious!

We booked the Barred Owl cabin for a weekend getaway. We were pleasantly surprised by how cute, clean and peaceful the cabin was! The decor and furnishings were up to date and very clean. There are trails right by the cabin and a ping pong table as well as a fire pit outside. The driveway is an adventure (not a big deal with 4 wheel drive), but the cabin is close to many attractions. We enjoyed the Nada Tunnel, a zip line tour, the Natural Bridge and the Gorge Underground.
Verizon had zero service at the cabin, but it made for a very relaxing weekend.
Highly recommend this sweet little cabin in the woods!
