Had an amazing weekend with friends enjoying the view from the porch. Easy access to hikes. Fire pit, hot tub, grill and even air hockey! Would absolutely return.
We stayed here for a low-key bachelorette weekend and it was wonderful. The house was beautiful, well stocked with essentials, and the views could not be beat. It's close enough to Charlottesville to wander over there, as well hiking and vineyards nearby. We all said we would come again. The owners were also amazing - they were quick to respond and asked if we needed anything or if we had suggestions to make it even better. It was a great weekend!
This house is absolutely amazing from top to bottom. The view is even better in person than what you see in the pictures. The black stone was a very nice touch and allowed us to cook a wonderful meal one night. The house was fully stocked with all kitchen supplies that you would need. Internet was perfect and I was able to take a few work calls while there with no problem. The property is very secluded and you don’t see any neighbors while at the house! Very short drive to entrance of Shenandoah NP which was a huge plus. Make sure you have a SUV though as the road leading to the house is gravel and uphill but very easy to maneuver in the right car.
The kitchen could’ve been better supplied, and the hands were peeling Teflon. Needed to have dish cloths. The water pressure was only good enough to have one person shower at a timeThe bedrooms were good. The living room was fine. The Wi-Fi worked well.
Amazing views, secluded, quiet, clean, spacious, and great communication from the rental company. We had 6 adults, one teenager, and two 10 year olds in the space for 6 days and we all felt comfortable. We had a problem with the water pressure but I put in a call and the repairman came out the next day and was more than helpful. He replaced a filter and turned up the pressure and it seemed to help. The only suggestion would be to have more kitchen towels, dish cloths, trash bags, and bathroom towels. There is local/ easy access to Shenandoah Park and the nearby town of Stanardsville has a small grocer and Dollar General. The driveway is steep but our two wheel drive Camry did fine. The hot tub was amazing, night sky viewing was a plus, air hockey and family meals were enjoyed. Thank you!
