Farmview Cottage at White Lotus Eco Spa Retreat

Thank you for your interest in staying here. Your room is self check-in with private (key code) entrance, full kitchen and full bathroom. We are on the property in case you need anything.

We allow up to two pets for a fee of $75.



This quite and secluded cottage has pinewood ceilings and floors with large arches separating the rooms and a covered back porch with nice view of the woods around it. There is a full kitchen with granite tile and wooden counters. There is a marble tiled full bathroom. A glass front wood stove in an open living/ding room with picture windows with views of the farm, pond and woods that surround. The house has a mini split for heating and cooling.



Guests have sole access to the entire Farmview Cottage (private bedroom, bathroom, full kitchen, deck), and free access to the entire White Lotus Eco Spa Retreat: 25 acres of trails, disk golf course, sauna and dipping pool, picnic area, ponds for fishing and canoeing, stone gazebo, Zen Barn, kitchens, meditation room, massage room, sky lounge, outdoor fireplace and much more.



Farmview Cottage is located only 10 minutes drive from historic Stanardsville, 15 minutes from Ruckersville, 20 minutes drive from Charlottesville airport, and only a half hour from Charlottesville, with its diverse offerings for dining and entertainment.

We were attending a wedding nearby and wanted a quiet, relaxing place to stay. Farmview cottage was perfect! The cottage was well maintained and had everything we needed for a short stay. We wished we could've explored the Zen Barn but it was occupied by a group. Some of the cats on the property gave us a tour of the other neat spots like the boat with the sitting area on top and the sauna. All in all, a great experience!

A great place to unwind

We booked weekend stay at the Farmview Cottage and found it to be excellent. The cottage was clean and most of all peaceful. When we entered, there was some smooth jazz playing softly, and it really set the tone for the weekend. Getting away from the noise of the city is what we really needed and we were sad to leave. The cottage is in good condition, and served our needs perfectly. The worst part of it was when we had to leave! Cons: The cottage was not well marked and was difficult to find. A sign with the name of the cottage and house number would have made it much easier to find. Also, some of the “resort” amenities did not appear to be accessible to us (not a big deal for us). Tips: We did not have cell service, so make sure you have the email for checking in available before you get there.

I had a very pleasant stay in the Farmview Cottage! It was easy to access per the host's directions and instructions, and the host was quick and communicative regarding all of my questions. The cottage looked like the pictures, if just a bit run down in the kitchen (to be expected with a vacation share), and provided a much-needed quiet retreat while I attended and helped set up my friend's wedding nearby. My only disappointment was that many of the accommodations of the retreat that I was looking forward to, most especially the canoe and the sauna, were unavailable or inaccessible. There was no paddle for the canoe, so I wasn't able to use it on the day I'd set aside for that express purpose, and the sauna did not seem to be accessible, nor could I locate the dipping pool (or it had been drained). Still, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, and even got to spot a pair of deer coming out of the woods just beside the cabin as I was quietly eating my supper.

Not the get away I hoped for

The overall location was tired and worn out and did not match the photos. The ponds were small, dingy - with broken piers, and the canoe had a broken seat and the life jacket laid on the ground covered in duck poo. The supposed "cooling water" pool had a dead carcass in it. Other than the bed, the cabin had uncomfortable furniture - not a place to hang out and relax. In the end, all I wanted to do was "get away" and left early.
