"Pool closed. I knew it would be. Bar closed. Room basic but ok. 2 days before arrival I was told the restaurant I booked would be closed. They didn't say the only alternative was in a separate building up a steep hill "

"As the hotel is on a hill, it would not be suitable for anyone with difficulty walking. However, the hotel itself is very nice and the staff are a credit to it. Breakfast made to order and very tasty."

"It’s a very tranquil spot. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location for our needs. The view from our cabin was spectacular, wonderful sunsets. The Retreat is Family oriented, and every cabin area is private, with a delightful community area if you so choose, we only had bikes as our mode of transport but everything is close by, our bikes were even dropped off and picked up via a nearby vendor. Our hosts were delightful and very responsive, especially as we arrived / and left after/before hours, very clear communication was provided. There is also a bus route (a short walk is needed) to get you to the ferry or airport. We spent a very enjoyable week, throughly recommend. "

"We had an excellent peaceful break in a brilliantly designed cabin that had everything we needed. The beach is only a few minutes walk away from the property but there are bus stops close by if needed. Susie & Paul are very welcoming & friendly hosts. Hope to return again another year. Joan & Ray."
