Perfect Location, just a few adjustments would make it all over amazing!

First of all, the location and layout of this townhouse are both wonderful! It is right on the beach and very close to a lot of great restaurants. The layout is perfect for a large family or mutli-family trip. However, the upkeep and cleaning of this location leaves some to be desired. We noticed the floors were not efficiently mopped, the outdoor shower was broken and not repaired, light fixtures had burnt out bulbs in dark bathrooms, the towels left fuzz all over after use, and overall the place just needs a few updates.

Family Vacation 2024

Booked this property for my family and me. Location was perfect and place itself is a gem compared to all other properties on the beach since so many are big condos. Arrival and check in was seamless. Place could use a bit updating but for a week on the beach not bad. Was a bunch of sand and stuff on floors so could be cleaned a little better by cleaning crew. Would def stay again if the property is available next year!

We had an amazing time. Perfect location, beautiful sunsets. Our suggestion would be to make the path to the beach easier to access. It was a bit steep and my mom struggled a bit to get over it.

Great location

I recently stayed at Captains House and had an amazing experience! The location was unbeatable—just steps from the beach, with breathtaking ocean views from the balcony. Waking up to the sound of waves was pure bliss. The condo itself was spotless, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated with a coastal vibe. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and the living space was cozy and comfortable. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep after long days in the sun. The area was quiet and relaxing, but still close to great restaurants and shops. Parking was easy, and check-in was seamless. Overall, this condo was the perfect beach escape. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious stay by the ocean!

Captain’s Townhouse

We love the Captains Townhouse on Madeira Beach. This was our second stay. Love the house’s location on the beach. It was perfect for our family. We plan to return again. The only suggestion is that they knew new outside patio furniture. Only a few chairs left and several were broken

Great beach location!

My main goal was to be on the beach and this did not disappoint! Beautiful beach views and easy walk to a perfect sandy beach. The house was roomy for 6 of us. It was surface clean, but could use a “deep clean.” (Very dusty under the bed and behind the tv) The outdoor furniture is pretty old and could use some replacing. Overall, a great experience and we would stay there again.

The house was as-described and the location on the beach was great. A little disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. There was mold in the master shower which looked like it had been that way for awhile. Otherwise the house was reflective of the listing.

Beware, inside of the house is full of old , worn and broken furniture. Mattresses are in desperate need of replacing. A “pillow top” can’t fix the age of these mattresses. Management company responded quickly when we needed bug control. Gulf views and beach were spectacular. The softest sand on the west coast!

Perfect for our family vacation

This townhouse was perfect for our family vacation. We had more than enough room for 2 adult couples and 2 children. The location was key. Sunsets from the balcony and walking distance to everything. Having a garage parking spot plus room for another car in the driveway was ideal for us. Management staff was very responsive answering a few questions I had before and during our visit. Upon arrival the unit was spotless inside and well appointed with everything we needed. They even had beach chairs, umbrellas, and some sand toys available for use. Helpful Hurricane Helene update: Prior to our trip, we were worried about the condition of the property since so many homes in the area were so badly damaged during the 2024 hurricane season. I’m happy to report this home is in great shape and will not disappoint. There is still some minor damage to the outside of the building from Hurricane Helene, but nothing that impacted our stay (missing patio tiles, minor vinyl fence damage, etc). The property manager was on site one afternoon assessing the damage and putting a plan together for those repairs so I’m sure it’s being addressed. I highly suggest this townhouse and iTrip. If you’re considering coming to the area, please do. The beaches are beautiful and the restaurants/shops are mostly all up and running. We were welcomed with open arms everywhere we went and thanked repeatedly for supporting the local businesses. Can’t wait to go back!

Great Location But Disappointed on Cleanliness and Upkeep

When we opened our door to our rental, we found another couple was already staying there. The property manager asked us to take the unit next door which we did. We found lightbulbs burnt out, many outlets that didn’t work, a pool that wasn’t heated and had only 3 jets working. We found a very dirty open storage on bottom floor which did have chairs, etc. but was filthy and moldy. There was one broken lounge chair which was removed and out in the trash the day after I used it (property manager?) we asked for but never received kitchen towels. We found 4 “dead” chicken strips on a cookie sheet in the stove. The property manager did promptly send in someone to repair the lighting and outlets. The view was outstanding, and the location cannot be beat. However the queen beds mattress is in serious need of replacement.

Great with need for many improvements

Cleanliness was very poor. Soiled, stained cushions on both sides shows this has been this way for awhile for both inside and outside furniture. Arrival date had a leaky toilet, light bulbs missing in the bathroom fixtures. Dryer did not work the entire stay. Towels for 8 taken to the laundromat. Last day host provided replacement towels. Our luck the hot water heater went out. It was addressed immediately however. Wobbly stair case banister. Toddlers feet were black from lack of floor washing. Accumulated dust piles under furniture. Filthy rug in living area. Kitchen & bathroom counter tops had a wet cloth once over. Potholders provided with caked on food from who knows when. Did a complete counter top/table and cabinet front (gross food drippins) cloroxing for my family health safety BUT location was great. Just update and get a new cleaning company

great townhouses

great townhouse. we rented both captains and admirals townhouse for a big family outing. it was great because they are next to each other and they have a great beach just outside your back door for the kids to play at. plenty of great food options close by. it's our second time staying there and plan to stay there again. if it was ever for sell i would buy the place it's that good of a location and setup for a family.

Sunset retreat

It was a wonderful trip. Beautiful sunsets every evening, just steps from the beach. Small pool, but still nice to be able to lounge in to cool off if we wanted a break from the sand and saltwater.
