"Cons: PARKING is far away, in Scotia Square. You have to walk a long way with your luggage, but at least we were able to walk through buildings and follow signs. It was a bit tricky. Also the antennae of our truck (Tacoma) was scraping on some parts of the parking garage. 😳 I don't know where normal trucks would park. OUTDATED. The heat in the room was not updated. I was a little confused as to how it worked. There was a nob that read, off low med high. That turned on a fan/vent. There was a thermostat beside that where I could turn the dial to 70, but I wasn't sure if that actually did anything or if you needed the fan on to get any heat. I did not want the fan on all the time because it was a little loud. CARPET. The carpet in the room didn't look pleasant, old stains. POOL. The pool was in the 2nd floor. It was relatively small and too cold for me. I was sad I couldn't go in with my son. TV. The TV guide didn't seem accurate. Everything I chose to put on was not what actually came on. ROOM CARDS: We back went down 3 times because the cards wouldnt work. We didn't know to not put them with your phone! Your phone will wipe the card. Terribly weak coffee in our room. Pros FRIENDLY STAFF, CLEAN, COMFORTABLE. My son had fun in the pool."

"The building and room were very clean. The kitchenette had everything you needed. Had some noise from neighboring unit. Very central to all restaurants, pubs and event centres. Enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay at Cameo again. "

"Cons: No parking (they may open the garage door for you but there won’t be any spaces), no pancakes for breakfast :( . Loud. Sauna isn’t very hot. Hot tub and sauna do not appear to be accessible as you have to walk up flights of a back stair well. If it is accessible by elevator it isn’t marked well. Front desk called in the middle of the night while I was sleeping to mention that they put me in the wrong room. Pros: location?"

"Pool- the floor in the pool was really dirty and there were no towels anytime we went down. It would be very helpful to put in some benches as there is not near enough seating- I was quite disappointed with the pool area."

"Clean room but the heating/ventilation system was very loud throughout the night making it hard to sleep. Room was prepaid and they require a physical credit card to have on file for incidentals which I did not have...cannot use visa/MasterCard debit or cash. Had to take extra time to fill out an authorization form to charge a credit card that was in my google wallet. If you don't have a credit card you need to find someone you know that will allow you to put their card on file. Very inconvenient to say the least."

"This hotel checked all the boxes for what we were hoping would be a fun weekend away as a family of four. We booked the king suite, which was a great setup with a pull-out couch in the main area. After checking in, we enjoyed the pool. Later that evening we noticed the room was quite warm so we turned down the thermostat. By the kids’ bedtime, it had become noticeably hotter, and we lowered it all the way to 15°C. Despite this, the room remained unbearably hot throughout the night. Our kids ended up sleeping on the pull-out couch in nothing but their underwear with flushed faces, clearly uncomfortable. I’m 7 months pregnant and already struggle with sleep, so the excessive heat and dryness in the room made for a very difficult night (including dealing with a bloody nose). In the morning, I brought the issue to the front desk and was told I was the second guest to report the same problem. I was informed the hotel operates on central air, so there wasn’t much that could be done, aside from offering fans or switching rooms. We decided to wait for maintenance to assess the situation before moving. Later, we were told the issue had been resolved, so we stayed in the same room. What was most disappointing was how this situation was handled. Despite a very uncomfortable first night and known issue with the room no effort was made to offer any form of compensation or discount. For what could have been a great stay, this left a lasting negative impression."
