"We had a wonderful holiday in Sarah's property. It has everything and more that we needed. Loads of open spaces, fully fitted and functional family kitchen, plenty living spaces, fabulous garden space. This property ticked every box for us. We would recommend it for anyone looking for accommodation on Orkney. You can get everywhere in a short space of time and Aurora was the perfect base."

"A lovely, quiet, peaceful spot. Easy access to Kirkwall and Stromness. Fully equipped kitchen, it was nice to cook and eat there rather than in restaurants or pubs. Hosts were great, highly recommended."

"Amazing location! Worth the journey time to arrive in this idyllic island. I would have extended the trip if cottage had been available. Seals, swans, owl, skuas, otters, terns all around. The colour of the sea is stunning! We arrived in a thick fog. Had a few wrong turns to get to cottage and the yellow door isn't visible from the road! So drove passed. Electricity is included but on timers. Owner very responsive to my enquires and local community very helpful. If you are into bird watching...

"Very central hotel overlooking the harbour a close walk to the main street and all the sights in town. The restaurant & bar area were great and rooms were quite comfortable. Staff were very friendly :) The only downside was the unusually hot summer weather made the rooms quite hot and stuffy."

"What a wonderful stay.. Graham, Sarah and Claire were such lovely hosts nothing to much trouble very accommodating from checking in to checking out.. Breakfast was excellent each morning cooked to order and evening meals were fantastic especially the fish and chips and homemade tartar sauce was so yummy.. The rooms are clean with lovely bedding and fantastic views of the beautiful island.. Can't wait to go back.. "

"We recently enjoyed our holiday stay at the Lindisfarne bed and breakfast in Stromness. This was our first visit to the Orkney Islands and we stayed there for two weeks. Kevin and Debbie were our host's at the B and B. They both looked after us superbly. The quality of the accommodation was excellent and the breakfast was generous and delicious. We will most certainly be returning and cannot find the word's to thank both Debbie and Kevin for their fantastic hospitality. "

"The Ferry Inn is a combination hotel/pub with breakfast included on our booking. We ate dinner both nights in the pub restaurant. The food was good & they had several choices for each course. The location was excellent for the Scrabaster/Stromness ferry & it was easy to navigate to Kirkwall & all the sights."
