RENDEZVOUS is a private property conveniently located on the South Shore of St. John 5 minutes from Cruz Bay.

The lushly landscaped property consists of three separate units which may be rented individually or in combination for larger groups, depending on your specific needs, 2-6 persons.

Each apartment has its own entrance, parking and outdoor covered dining area. Each is completely private from the other two units. Rendezvous has a community pool with plenty of lounge furniture, shade sails and incredible view for the enjoyment of all guests.

RENDEZVOUS VILLA(2BR 2Bath) The entrance of the top-floor Villa is on prestigious Boatman Road atop the hill between Rendezvous Bay and Chocolate Hole. Newly remodeled and decorated with origional artwork by island artists, the Villa boasts a modern open kitchen and huge outdoor covered porch for grilling, dining and lounging among the palm trees and outstanding sunset view of St. Thomas. Fully A/Cd.

RENDEZVOUS TERRACE(2BR 2Bath) is currently occupied by Owner/Manager and not available for rent. Should you need anything during your stay or have questions or concerns, the manager is on-site to take care of you.

RENDEZVOUS COTTAGE(1BR 1Bath) a romantic escape for two awaits you in this Mediterranean-style Cottage. The main living/dining area is an outdoor, enclosed, screened porch tucked into lush landscape of mature palms, bananas, and frangipani with a commanding sunset view of Pillsbury Sound and Saint Thomas. The arched windows and doors, high ceilings, and outdoor environment will put you at one with nature. The well-appointed kitchen, barbecue, king-size bedroom with air conditioning, walk-in closet with washer/dryer, and comfortable furnishings will provide you with all the comforts of home.

Hike to nearby uncrowded beaches in Chocolate Hole and Rendezvous Bay, or take the beach chairs and cooler and explore National Park beaches. Or just lounge by the pool.

This will be our St John go to. We loved the screened in living area for hanging out and the air conditioned bed room at night. Five minutes from Cruz Bay dining options but also several quieter very good dining options also about five minutes away the other direction.

Perfect for what we needed…

The place had EVERYTHING one might need, from big sun hats, to a washer/dryer, and everything in between. It was close to town, but quiet (except for the rooster). We made breakfast every morning, enjoyed the sunsets from the terrace. It was not wicked fancy, but felt like home by the end of our trip.

Cozy cottage

We stayed in the 1 bedroom cottage on the property which was below the main house with steps going up to the pool area.If it wasn’t for the roosters crowing at 4am I probably would have slept in more.I would definitely schedule another stay. Great private cottage with all the amenities.

Excellent location

Property is very private while being just minutes from Cruz Bay. Home has everything you need for a great vacation. It feels like a tree house in the jungle. James met us at the ferry dock and showed us the way and made sure that we had everything we needed.

Really nice low key rental in neighborhood

This is a very nice apartment (1 of 3) in a big house. Great view off of screen porch! Pool upstairs (!) Easy to get to Cruz Bay and anywhere else, but be prepared to rent a car. Well kept up and super friendly landlord!

After several mishaps due to our airline we arrived a day late and James was so awesome and kept in contact with us the entire time. Beautiful views from the villa and perfect for a couples vacation. Thanks again James for everything! We will be back!

Great Stay with Thoughtful Amenities

We had a wonderful stay! The check-in process was seamless, and the owner was incredibly responsive and helpful. He even met us at the Jeep rental and personally guided us to the property, which was a nice touch. We really appreciated the beach chairs, cooler, and towels that were provided—they made our beach days so much easier.To be honest, we spent most of our time either at the beach or in town, so we were really only at the property to sleep. The first night, we noticed some mosquitos, but that’s to be expected in the tropics. Overall, a great experience, and we’d stay here again!

The perfect retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location of the home is perfect, we were able to easily commute to some of the best restaurants nearby and be back in no time. The 1BR/1BA cottage had everything we needed upon arrival.. it was very well kept. It really helped us out that beach chairs, snorkel gear, etc was right there waiting for us to use daily. The view from the pool is breath taking.. photos don’t do it justice. The owner was extremely nice and accommodating. We wouldn’t hesitate to book here again.. this place is truly such a gem. Thank you James family!

Fantastic view, great location

The view from our place was amazing. We could look out on the bay from our living room as well as the pool area upstairs. It was a great place to have coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The location was also optimal. It was just a few minutes from Cruz Bay with its restaurants and shops, but away from the noise and congestion. The host is very responsive and answered the couple of questions we had within minutes. This is our second time staying here and we would stay again.

Perfect Spot!

Our stay at James’ house was nothing short of perfect. He met us at the car rental place and we followed him back to the house (driving is fine, but takes some getting used to). He showed us around and that was it! The house is great for people wanting to explore St John or just relax. The porch had a nice breeze most of the day and the pool was refreshing. Very quiet and private. Pro tip: be prepared for steep roads and hairpin turns. Just take it slow and you’ll be ok. 10/10 would rent again!!

perfect for us

This rental was a perfect fit for us. We love the indoor/outdoor nature of the way its designed and the added comfort of a pool upstairs. We loved the sounds of birds, tree frogs and roosters. Did not use the AC in the bedroom every night but was glad it was there when we wanted it. Only regret was not wearing insect repellent. The screens are efficient, but this is, after all St. John. In fact, everything about this rental is so "st john" --thats why we love it. James is an excellent host and was very helpful when our flight was delayed and the car rental closed before we arrived. He treated us to drinks and gave us a ride back to town when the car rental agency opened in the morning. Great Stay!!

Rendezvous Cottage

I will start out by saying that St. John is incredible place and if you're trying to decide between St. John and other islands, this is the place to go. The cottage was fine. It needs some TLC. I think a new coat of paint and fixing the screens on the porch would go a long way. The TV speaker seemed to be blown so we didn't really use it. I definitely would look for something bigger if you have more than 2 people. This was probably my fault but I didn't realize the cottage was downstairs from the pool area so we never used it but the views are amazing up there. Everything with the check-in and out was fantastic. Stacy filled in for James and was great. You definitely need a car. Overall we had a great vacation and enjoyed our time.

Charming & Affordable

This one bedroom worked out great for the two of us. It's a charming place with a great view. James is very accommodating, meeting us the Cruz Bay ferry dock to lead us to the place, which isn't easy to find in the dark. Rental vehicle is needed as it's not close to taxi traffic and roads are not walkable. Short 7-8 min drive to heart of Cruz Bay. It's a bit tired but has all the amenities needed, including full size washer/dryer, beach chairs, big towels and cooler. The king bed is very comfy. We 'lived' on the huge screened porch, with table and small TV. A/C available but we didn't use, the early Feb breezes and shade kept it comfortable. Shared pool deck level is super nice, with spa, rope hammock, and nice lounge chairs, and an even better view as its above the unit. There are steps to navigate. It's the tropics on USVI, so wild roosters with their early morning noise and insects are part of the scene, and the place is not hermetically sealed for the latter.

15th Anniversary Trip

This place was wonderful with a stunning view! We spent 5 nights here to celebrate our 15th anniversary. James met us at the ferry and guided us to the house and showed us around. The sunsets were spectacular with the gorgeous view! The house was unique- I love all the arched doorways and windows with wood shutters and the round stained glass window. The kitchen was well stocked. We cooked/grilled a lot the first 3 days. Having a big refrigerator was nice! The living/dining room is a screened in room. We watched a big iguana outside in a tree for awhile. It got a little warm during the afternoon/sunset but St. John is always warm.🙂 We didn't use the hot tub since it was warm. We didn't use the pool either since we were usually worn out from swimming at the beaches. There were coolers,beach towels,chairs and floats there which was so nice for our beach excursions. Having a way to do laundry was nice! The bathroom$ was also stocked well with towels. There are steps going into the house,up top to the pool/deck and inside going to the bathroom/laundry rooms. So if you're elderly,this may not be the place for you. There were chickens,iguanas and hermit crabs around to add to the island feel. The electricity went off a few times which is not the owner's fault, but be aware that it happens frequently on the island. We'd definitely stay again!

Excellent value for the price!

My husband and I stayed in the one bedroom, one bath unit. It is an excellent value for the price considering you get an ocean view, a fantastic swimming pool and a clothes washer and dryer. This is a beautiful rustic place to stay that is private, yet a short drive to Cruz Bay. There are only three units, and one of those is the owner, so the pool is never crowded and there are lots of chairs. We rented a Jeep from a place on St. John, and the cottage owner, James, met us there to show us the way to his place because Google maps is not accurate. It was nice to follow someone for our first time driving on the left-hand side of the road! We visited in June and there were many flowering tropical plants on the property. There is an outdoor grill, a gas stove, flashlights, batteries, and candles to keep you covered in case of a power outage. If you stay during the humid months of summer, you will probably use the air conditioner while you are at the cottage. The air conditioner is strong enough to make the bedroom as cold as you want, while also cooling the kitchen area and brings down the humidity in the bathroom/ laundry room area. To use the air conditioner, you have to close the big arched wooden doors and window shutters, so then you do not have any view and have to turn on the lights, but you can sit on the screened-in porch or up at the pool for the view. The cottage really only has room for two people to sleep in the air-conditioned area of the cottage.

Excellent communication and service from the host Scott. Villa was cleaned at a high level by the housekeeper which is not always the case at other villas. View, pool and other amenities were also excellent. Overall, they know what they are doing and I would rent there again.
