Seaside Vista was a private home for years. Now the new owner did a total renovation and has placed it on the vacation rental market.

Seaside Vista is the closest oceanfront villa to town; a very unique property, next to Gallows Point. Imagine being able to take a dip in the ocean anytime you like, only steps away from your own beach house! Seaside Vista underwent extensive renovation after the hurricane including new high quality finishes and all new furnishings which will make your stay truly enjoyable.

The villa is equipped with solar panels and a Tesla back-up battery system which automatically engages in the event of a power outage.

Most of the other options available in town are condos. Instead of sharing walls and a building with many others in a condo, you can enjoy the privacy of your own beachfront villa?

in 2018, the owner completed a top to bottom renovation, a real vintage Caribbean Cottage with modern touches done in a way to preserve the unique relaxing cottage feel, yet with an element of understated luxury. Because its just around the corner from Gallows Point, it hides any noise from town, yet its an easy 2 block stroll to the heart of Cruz Bay.

You'll enjoy the soothing sounds of the surf from the large 15' x 20' screened in terrace as you watch the sailboats go by. In the evening, enjoy fabulous sunsets year round plus the twinkling lights of St Thomas.

The air conditioned spacious master bedroom (14' x 12') has a king size bed with direct access to the large ocean view terrace. The bedroom's windows on 3 sides provide cooling Caribbean breezes and an ocean view.

The beautiful Restoration Hardware bath is accessed directly from the master bedroom. Seaside Vista is perfect for a couple as you can rent the cottage with the 2nd bedroom locked, and the rate is priced accordingly. (The 2nd bedroom is never rented to a different party.) The published rate is for the 1 bedroom, up to 2 guests.

The second air conditioned bedroom was thoughtfully designed in a nautical style with new twin bunk beds. A blow up twin mattress is also available for a 3rd child. For convenience, the bathroom is accessible right from the second bedroom as well. The cost for 2nd bedroom/additional guests is $50 per night + tax per guest.

The large newly tiled terrace has plenty of room for relaxing and dining and features all new furniture. The kitchen has been totally remodeled and features new counters, appliances and a more contemporary open floor plan to the living room (20' x 11'). A new counter with bar stools makes it a great place to hang. The living room has large ocean view windows with a comfy sectional couch and a doorway that opens up directly to the terrace. There is also a furnished private courtyard with a grill.

Fabulous location, within walking distance to the town center/ferry/taxis/restaurants. Very responsive communication from host, and the villa was well appointed and comfortable. The ocean views and constant sounds of the surf made the experience relaxing and restorative. We had a wonderful week exploring the beauty of St. John from this villa.

Perfect anniversary getaway

Spent a week here celebrating our wedding anniversary. Beautiful sunsets, quiet location close to Cruz Bay, well-equipped villa had everything we needed. The villa owner was very helpful, provided great information, and made our stay an enjoyable and memorable one.

Our Home in St John

4th time we stayed at Seaside Vista. The cottage is perfect for my husband and myself, the screened-in porch is one of the draws. The bedding, towels, bed and cleanliness are all in line with the cottage.

Excellent Location and View

This was our third time staying at Seaside Vista. Being able to easily walk to town is such a perk at this villa. The screened porch is a perfect place to have coffee in the morning or cocktails in the evening while watching the iguanas munching on flowers, the peacocks making their daily commute, or the occasional sting ray leap in the bay all while avoiding the mosquitos! The villa is petite but very cute and well-maintained and has everything we need for a week's stay. The new Tommy Bahama beach chairs and full-sized toiletries provided in the bathroom were also much appreciated!

Beautiful property

This beautiful property is located in an ideal location with walking distance to Cruz Bay. The sunset views from the covered porch were a great way to end the day. We had a truly great vacation and were able to explore the island at our pace.

St. John First Timers

Owner was very communicative in preparation and during stay. He provided guides that not only made the stay at the villa enjoyable, but all the options for activities, food, etc. in St. John. The property was clean and as advertised. It quickly became evident that parking is a premium on St. John and the Villa provided a convenient parking spot. The owner also had a property manager so there were two points of contact if needed. The location provided beautiful views and a location that allowed walking to many restaurants and shops of St. John. Definitely would stay again on our next visit to St. John.

Great Villa on St. John

If you are looking to be within walking distance of the restaurants and shops of Cruz Bay, this is the place for you. Very clean and quiet and wonderful wild life just outside your door. The screened in porch was the real winner. Such a great view and sounds of waves. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful Escape

The Seaside Vista offered an ideal getaway home with gorgeous ocean views on a screened in porch as well as clean & comfortable amenities just walking distance from some of St. John’s best restaurants & shops. The bed was crisp & comfy, the shower bright & refreshing, and the on site washer & dryer a plus. We’d come back every month if we could!

Perfect week in paradise!

We absolutely loved Seaside Vista! It was perfect for my husband and I on our 35th wedding anniversary trip. We stayed for a week. We spent most of our time on the porch, enjoying the beautiful view - one morning we were gifted a double rainbow. Michael and Leslie were outstanding to communicate with, before, during and after our stay. The short walk to Cruz Bay was awesome and we also took walks down to the little rocky beach and on the surrounding roads. Everything was just as described and expected and we will definitely stay here again on another trip to St. John. Thank you for a perfect week in paradise!

Feels like our own private paradise❤️

This was our second stay at this lovely villa and it almost feels like “ours”! The screened-in porch is the absolute perfect addition and where we spent most evenings. The villa is close to town so we walked to dinner every night! Sunset vista comes with every possible amenity and Michael and Leslie are perfect hosts! Thank you for the privilege of staying! Paradise

We had the BEST time on St John!!! Seaside Vista has the most amazing views from the screen porch, we spent all our time there! Its also such a great spot, loved being able to walk to all the restaurants and shopping. Micheal was very helpful and gave us lots of information about the island before hand! We had our 2 grown kids, 20 and 17 and they were very comfortable in the bunk beds! We had a great family trip and cant wait to come back!!

Perfect Cottage and Great Host!

Everything about this cottage is awesome. It is located short walking distance to the main part of town but just far enough to be peaceful and private. We spent every morning sipping coffee on the screened in porch while watching sailboats come into the harbor. The sunsets from the porch were spectacular! There are a couple of small shops a few minutes walk away that have any provisions you may need. We didn’t need to rent a car because the taxi stand is a five minute walk. So we spent less money on that than we would have if we rented and didn’t have the stress of navigating the crazy twists and turns of St. John’s roads! Michael, our host, is super responsive and gave us lots of great information and recommendations for our trip. I highly recommend this lovely cottage! Thank you Michael for a great stay!

Our Week In Paradise

First of all we love St. John ( it is our “One Particular Harbor”)! Second of all, we hit the jackpot when we reserved Seaside Vista Villa! Loved the screened in porch - coffee in the morning and sunset Happy Hour every evening! Our new pastime is watching all the peacocks!! Another plus is how close the Villa is to the heartbeat of Cruz Bay, lots to do in town! The inside of the Villa has all the things you might need. Plenty of towels, dishes, glasses and anything you might need for cooking. It has a nice grill area too. There are even beach towels, beach chairs and a small canopy to pitch at the beach. All in all this was a very stress free vacation you will relax as soon as you arrive! Have fun!!! Jeanne and Rick H.

Great cottage with amazing views and a perfect location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The views from the screened in porch were incredible. We saw some incredible sunsets and enjoyed waking up with coffee there each morning. The condo was in great shape and had everything we needed. The master bed was comfy and the kids slept well in the bunk beds. The location was perfect. It was a short walk along the water into town. We rented a car half the time so we could explore more of the island, but the first half of the trip we carried our beach stuff down the hill each morning and caught a taxi to and from the beaches without any issues. If you don't want to rent a car while you're there, that's another big plus for this place. Michael was very helpful and informative throughout the booking process and leading up to our trip and he was very responsive during our stay when we had questions. Only good things to say about Seaside Vista. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Great stay in paradise

We absolutely loved Seaside Vista. This was our fourth time to St. John. We usually have stayed in a house up high and have had to drive everywhere. Seaside Vista's close location to downtown was very convenient. We were able to walk to restaurants and shops. The screen porch was our favorite part! The views were incredible. Sunsets are amazing. Michael K was a great property owner to work with. He communicated frequently and gave us great tips. With Hurricane Tammy nearby, he kept us informed with the status of the ferries. We ended up leaving a day early because the ferries were closing. We would have had no idea about that if it weren't for him! Very thoughtful. It was nice to have beach chairs, noodles and a cooler provided. Overall it was a cute little place with a great view. I would highly recommend and stay here again. St. John is our favorite!! Thanks again for an amazing trip!

Wishing we were still there!

We had an amazing week stay at Seaside Vista! The location can't be beat and the screened porch is a must-see! We brought our 2 daughters, ages 9 and 6, they stayed in the bunk room and loved it. Every day we would walk to Gallows Point mini mart/gift shop for coffee and after enjoying the morning porch view would take off for the day in our rental jeep to one of the many unbelievable beaches St John has to offer! Michael's guide to the island was so helpful, without it we wouldn't have known to make Waterlemon Cay a definite stopping point and wouldn't have seen all the sea turtles! We also wouldn't have known about the sandwich shops to call ahead for pickup on our way to the beach! After our day at the beach we would return, shower, happy hour on the porch again and then walk 5 minutes into town to one of the many great restaurants. Everything about this vacation was wonderful and Michael was a wonderful host. The only thing I didn't realize was the washing machine and dryer are located outside down a few stairs. It turns out we didn't need them for ourselves anyway, but this I wasn't aware of before we got there! We would definitely stay again in this seaside cottage and hope to return!

Wonderful Stay at Seaside Vista Villa

We recently spent a week at Seaside Vista Villa. The accommodations were exactly as described and shown on the website -- in fact they were better than the photos showed. The location is key -- you are no more than a 5 minute walk to town and about a 15 minute drive to the nearest North Shore beaches. Michael and Leslie were prompt and thorough with their communications. The villa is well thought out ad has just about everything one would need to enjoy their stay. It's clearly marked on the list of amenities, but you don't have an actual oven. You do have a toaster oven, microwave and stove top for any type of cooking or reheating you might need. A full-size fridge and a washer/dryer below the cottage. It's small but mighty and the screened in porch is truly wonderful. It can be enjoyed rain or shine as we discovered. There are two bedrooms, although we only utilized the main bedroom. Both bedrooms share the bathroom, but the 2nd bedroom (which has bunk beds) was locked during our stay. There is also a parking space for one vehicle -- we had a 4-door jeep and although you do have to drop passengers off before turning into the spot, it was easy to use and came in very handy as parking is difficult if not impossible in Cruz Bay. We have stayed all over STJ and this rental ranked at the very top of our stays. We loved Seaside Vista and wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

perfect location!

Cute little villa with amazing views and great location! Short walk to all the activity of Cruz bay but is also quiet. Screened porch is great. kitchen is more like a kitchenette but we weren't cooking anything but simple breakfast foods. There is a nice grill which would be helpful if you want to cook dinner. The bed is super comfortable and bathroom is nice. It's perfect for 2-3 people. It was also very clean!Michael was a great host and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. Check in/out very easy and appreciate his very detailed suggestions for transportation and dining.We will definitely be returning soon!

The view from the house was beautiful!

It was clean and very close to town so we could walk everywhere.

Such a great house - perfect location (walkable to all the restaurants and bars in Cruz Bay), great views and amenities that were provided were exactly what was needed. Michael was a great host as well - he answer all questions promptly and thoroughly. This was our first time on St. John and the information he provided in advance with dining, beach and other recommendations was so incredibly helpful to make it a memorable and enjoyable vacation. Highly recommend this house as a rental- you will not be disappointed!
