Family trip

Wonderful long weekend family trip. The guys did some fishing and us ladies and kids did some shopping in town. We all visited the Deer Ranch twice. The house was just as listed. It was clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable. Chad was great to work with.

We enjoyed our stay. However, the place could use some TLC. The deck was really in need of cleaning and staining. The beds need to be replaced. Very uncomfortable and bedding very old. With some upgrades, it would be a great place to stay.

Wonderful lake house

We were so happy with the Pte Aux Chenes house. We had 5 adults and 3 kids and had plenty of room. The weather was a little cooler, so we didn't spend a ton of time why the beach, but we really loved the firepit area. So peaceful and a perfect long weekend getaway. Thank you!

We loved everything about this place (except the cabin water----definitely recommend bringing your own water!)! What a great place! Chad was very communicative to ensure we had a wonderful experience. The home is beautiful. Great views and right on the water. Our family enjoyed our strolls on the frozen beach. Excellent getaway location

Very quiet the first weekend in November, an awesome time to be in the UP and your kids can't ask you to take them to all the tourist traps because they're all closed! Be sure to checkout St Ignace Sand Dunes Cross Country ski trail, this is less than 1/2 mile away and makes for an awesome nature hike that you can make as short as 2 miles or as long as 7.1 by walking everything. The house was fantastic, views are great and everything you need is provided.

Comfortable house with great views

Our group enjoyed our visit. The house was a good configuration for our group size and we could accommodate all of the members' restrictions with climbing stairs, etc. The beach access is the easiest that we have encountered in the various rentals we have had on Lake Michigan and that added to our enjoyment. It was a convenient locations for all of our day-trips around the eastern UP. The high ceilings, skylights and huge picture window in the living room provide spectacular views and a light and airy feeling.

Beautiful

It was located on Lake Michigan, at a perfect spot along the beach. Easy drive to the town of Saint Ignace for anything my family needed during our 6 night stay. It was clean and well stocked. The master bedroom had the most comfortable bed. Like a gigantic pillow. Best sleep I have ever had while on vacation. The TV had its own ideas of not working (I think it was trees obscuring the satellite) but we watched a movie that was in the cabinet and played games we brought with us. Overall, a very nice time.

Great location, wonderful views from the home, awesome beach, quiet and private during our stay.

We have been renting various homes for our annual vacation to the Great Lakes for several years now. We always look for a home that will be private and quiet, but is close enough to things to do that it isn't a hassle getting to them. This home fit the bill perfectly. 10 minutes from St Ignace/Mackinaw City. The home has great views of the lake, is comfortable and reasonably stocked with daily items you might need. The beach is awesome, hands down the best beach we have ever rented a home on in the UP. The location of the home was private and quiet while we were there. The owners were easy to reach and communicate with.

Great for Mackinac Island Focused Vacation

Three generations stayed st the house. I am the only Michigan native. No of my family had not visited Mackinac and it has been over 30 years since I visited the Island. The house was a perfect location for us. Decreased internet access became a blessing for us. Lake Michigan shore gave the adventurists plenty to explore while we relaxed from busy schedule on Mackinac and drive up from Grand Rapids. Bernard W. Scott
