  • Superb, traditional stone built cottage boasting an elevated position with stunning sea and harbour views from most rooms and overlooking the pretty fishing village of Mevagissey.
    This Grade II listed cottage has been lovingly restored and provides a great base to explore the local area - Eden project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Charlestown, Fowey, coastal walks or relax on the many beautiful beaches close by. In the village you can watch the fishermen bring in their catch whilst sampling the local Cornish ale or take a local fishing trip around the bay and look out for seals and dolphins.
    Furnished and decorated to a high standard, this well-equipped property makes a great retreat for a family or friends. A large terrace allows you to enjoy the sunshine and watch village life and in the winter months you can cosy up by the wood burner with a good book or enjoy some of the DVD's or family games provided.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The cottage is beautiful and so well equipped. It has all cooking equipment, a nespresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine etc. It's ideally located, close to the harbour, shops etc. There is quite a steep hill to walk up but that didn't bother us. There is a parking space for a small car but my car is on the larger size so we paid to park in Willows for the week. The communication with the owner was perfect, both before and after. I got 5 hours into my journey home and realised I'd left all of our coats and a bag on the coat hooks. I messaged Tamsin and within 48 hours they had arrived at my house. I would 100% stay here again!

This was our second visit and we had another lovely stay. Such a comfortable property with everything you need for a get-away. We absolutely love Mevagissey and the cottage is so relaxing and just a stones throw away from the harbour. We will definitely be back!

Ideal holiday cottage

A great place to stay

A great property in a wonderful location above Mevagissey with fantastic views. Spacious, warm and comfortable with everything we needed. Very quiet location but only a few minutes walk to the village. We had a very happy stay.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Tamsin was a fantastic host and responded quickly to any questions we had.The directions provided were really helpful — definitely needed — and parking was easy. If the cottage parking space is too tight, we managed in our Jarcoo, there are car parks just a short walk away, and you can pull up outside to unload your belongings.There are so many great places to eat within walking distance, and Tamsin kindly left recommendations for her favourite spots, which we really enjoyed trying.There are a few steps inside the cottage and down into the town, but my 82-year-old mum managed them well.Thank you, Tamsin — we’d definitely come back. There’s still so much more to see and do!

What an awesome place! It was much larger than we thought split over 3 levels. Middle one has the front room and kitchen, downstairs twin room plus sun room and bathroom. Top floor twin room and king bed plus shower/bath and separate toilet. Beds were extremely comfy too. So close to all the amenities.

Beautiful Cottage

The cottage has been really beautifully renovated. The location is perfect with an awesome view which you can enjoy both inside and outside the property. Everything you could need is provided (we were blessed with good weather, so were able to have a barbecue). Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful cottage overlooking idilic harbour

Family of 5 adults normally presents a challenge to accommodate comfortably for a holiday, but not in this case. Prospect Cottage is a lovely family home packed with all the amenities that a family needs. Only a few minutes walk away from the magical Mevagissey harbour and an array of bars, cafes and chip shops! We had a magnificent stay and would recommend to anyone.

Lovely place in a great spot.

A beautiful and interesting cottage situated in the centre of the village, it’s no more than a couple of minutes walk anywhere. Everything you need is provided, it’s light and airy, clean and well maintained and with great views. This was our second visit and we’ve already booked for next year so, I guess, that says a lot! There’s nothing not to like.

Beautiful property

We had a wonderful time in Prospect cottage, everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Absolutely loved the property and a potter delight to stay there. Would go again without question and Mevagissey is a super place to visit. I would recommend this property to anyone and we're so grateful to the hosts for allowing us to 'borrow' for a little while. Also must say thank you to the cleaner who keeps it all so nice. Can't wait to go again, thank you x
