"This was a short break for My wife and daughter as a treat. The staff were not engaged at all and the service at breakfast each day was very poor. They had to ask for bowls for cereal and the pastries had run out mid way through service and had to get more prepared. Staff were not visible and tables left for long periods of time before eventually being cleared. They seemed very uninterested in making the stay a pleasure for the guests. The one main dinner they had was adequate but not good. The swimming pool changing rooms were not clean with toilets out of order and the smell of drains, towels very thin. No shampoo in the rooms and curtains that didn't drawer easily. Towel rail was stained and looked old. The general condition of the room and hotel in general was poor. I booked a deluxe room but it didn't look very deluxe. It seemed like they were constantly penny pinching and suggested the resort is under serious financial pressure. The mud treatment they booked was not worth it as the mud product was too dry and didn't spread across the skin. Most ended up on the floor as it dropped off. All in all it was not the treat I hoped to give my wife and daughter and I am disappointed to have used my one key cash on it."

"Absolutely perfect farmhouse for a group stay as it has so many great facilities. The Hot tub, tennis courts, sauna, football posts! So much to do! Lovely cosy bedrooms, and plenty of space. It would have just been nice to have the stuff to light a fire in the house."

"Great Location. Well Equipped. Spacious. Should be noted that the bedroom on the top floor has steep narrow stairs and not suitable for all. Dust in places. Was woken up by noise from the cafe underneath."

"Beautiful place, very clean, comfy beds, the place is fully equipped with everything any group might need. Pet friendly. Our labrador enjoyed big green area to run around. Child friendly, with loads of toys to keep little angels occupied. Very welcoming and accomodating host, we will certainly be back."

Also very family friendly providing cots and other useful items as per their website suggests. The grounds & facilities are lovely and we made full use of everything. The location is very private too which was nice. We hired 3 of the properties together which was perfect for our large group gathering made up of several families and we had plenty of space to all come together. This was my second trip to Partridge Lodge with a different group of people and on both occasions everyone loved it and had a great time."
