"I was a bit wary entering through the game room from the back parking lot, but what a delightful surprise to find a beautiful, roomy, fully updated room! They have clearly put great care into renovating this historic hotel. We enjoyed staying there."

Sam text us as we landed, met us when we arrived, explained the apartment, which was absolutely beautiful. Could not have asked for more. Also had a cafe right outside our door, in which the food was amazing also.

Paul & Brendon were the most fabulous hosts in their impeccably presented BNB.
Could not be faulted on any aspect of our stay.
Would recommend this most adorable property to anyone considering visiting northern Tasmania in a flash.
Thanks for a most memorable stay.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Wonderful Stay at The Exchange Hotel, Beaconsfield
We had a fantastic two-night stay at The Exchange Hotel. Gavin, the owner, was incredibly accommodating, and we were lucky enough to receive a room upgrade. The room was excellent, the bed was sooo comfortable, and the bathroom was lovely and clean.
The ambience and aesthetics of this beautiful old building are fantastic, and Gavin deserves 5 stars for all the hard work he has put into restoring it while adding modern upgrades without...

The Beach and access made this perfect. Rest, Reflection and Peace of Mind to Soothe the Heart and appease the Spirit and Soul. My host was and is genuinely down to earth and defines professional goodness. Look forward to going back. Thank you for a great stay.

From arrival to our reluctant departing we had a lovely stay at Peppers. The architecture is modern and open plan and very spacious, The staff were friendly and couldn't do more to make sure we had everything we needed to have a great stay. The restaurant also was of high caliber and our evening meal and subsequent breakfast were delicious.
Situated on the water the views of the surrounds are lovely, walking and exploring.
Thanks to all for this surprising gem in our touring of Tassie.

The best area to stay in Squeaking Point is the waterfront, particularly around the area of The Esplanade and along the quieter side streets leading down to the beach.
This primary area offers direct access to the beach and panoramic views across the Bass Strait. It's a tranquil setting, great for those looking for a peaceful escape with the convenience of being close to the water. You'll find a mix of holiday rentals and boutique accommodations here.
Couples seeking a relaxing getaway will find this area particularly appealing. Imagine waking up to the sound of waves, enjoying breakfast with an ocean view, and taking leisurely strolls along the sandy shores. The lack of crowds and the natural beauty make it an ideal spot for reconnecting and unwinding.
For families, staying in this waterfront area provides easy access to the beach for children to play, while adults can supervise from nearby accommodations. Many properties here offer spacious layouts, making it comfortable for everyone.
When is the best time to go to Squeaking Point?
The best time to visit Squeaking Point is during the warmer months, from December to February, when the weather is ideal for outdoor activities and exploring the coast.

This makes it great for enjoying the beaches, coastal walks, and water sports around Squeaking Point. It's also an excellent time for families to visit, as the pleasant weather allows for comfortable outings to local attractions like the Narawntapu National Park, which is just a short drive away and offers wildlife spotting opportunities.
For couples looking for a romantic getaway, the shoulder seasons of spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) also offer pleasant weather and fewer crowds. Temperatures are milder, typically between 12°C and 18°C, and the landscapes are particularly picturesque with spring blooms or autumn colours.
