We loved the secluded location and the it was great to have the kayaks to use. This is real Florida with less tourists and a slower pace. Dawn was an excellent hostess!

Peace
Nice home. Pretty close to many attractions and restaurants. I enjoyed hearing the fish at night jumping in the water though my husband wasn't sure what it was. I told him the small splashes were fish the loud and noisy ones were mermaids! LoL I never did find the lights for downstairs carport or porches to have a little light for the backyard and fire pit Neighborhood not what we expected but neighborhood was quiet and peaceful Just what I needed
Dawn the host is absolutely amazing. She makes you feel like your family. The home is beautifully decorated, there is a pull out coach in the living room, king size bed in the upstair Master and also a wall pull down double bed - perfect if you have little ones. So many activities to do in Weeki Wachee. We didn’t get the chance to use the kayaks but 4 are available with paddles and lifejackets at no additional cost. Running nonstop with the kids, after coming back I took full advantage of the deep soak bathtub to relax. Then sit on the back porch listening to Mother Natures amazing music with the sounds of frogs. Truly a magical experience. If you’re on the fence if this is the place for you, the answer is simple YES BOOK NOW!!! Thank you again Dawn for everything.
Dawn was an amazing host we had a small issue with some dead bugs and she went out of her way to make it right. The area was quiet neighbors i did see were beyond friendly. It was perfect distance to get to the springs 5 minutes to kayaking . We will be back!!!
This is a great little cottage right on the creek (with a very active otter during my stay). Love the wood burning fireplace and look forward to staying again. Thanks Dawn.
Great place to stay. Less than 5 minutes to Weeki Wachee Springs State Park and about 10 minutes to Pine Island. Great communication with owner. I highly recommend this cottage. Thank you Dawn
The cottage was immaculate & very well supplied. Dawn provided additional info about things to see and do in the area which was helpful. This was a very quiet and relaxing place to stay.
We enjoyed watching the wildlife as we sat on the back deck. A trip to watch the sunset at Pine Island Park was an added treat.
Upon arrival, we discovered dozens of half dead wasps in the master bedroom and a roach in the kitchen, we called the manager and although very apologetic and she did knock off 100 for the inconvenience as we had to clean up the mess. We then tried to use the balcony, but it was so full of Cypress needles that it was slippery and she sent out the housekeeper and an exterminator the next day. But the balcony still was so green and slimy. It was slippery and we could not use it. The neighborhood resembles a trailer park. The location was good for what we needed to go to Weeki Wachee and Pine Island, and a large variety of restaurants around.
The house is very cool. It’s on the second and third level, so you see the canal in the back. We saw different birds and an otter! The kids were so excited. There were games and Smart TVs. Family movie night after our outdoor days. Weeki Wachee has many different parks, springs and rivers nearby to checkout.
This property was accurately described. It was completely stocked with everything you need, they even had coffee and condiments which was a plus. Very clean with nice furnishings throughout the house. The management/owners are very easy to communicate with and would get right back in touch with you if you have to reach out to them. also, we didn’t need to use their kayaks and canoes but they have everything there if you need it. Usually when we rent a VRBO there’s video cameras around the outside of the house which I understand The reason that is necessary but this particular property did not which I liked because it always feels like an invasion of your privacy. I would definitely stay here again
I was very pleased with this home. It's homey, comfortable, and has everything you need. They are plenty of towels and the kitchen is fully equipped with small appliances, utensils and spices. They even have a griddle for pancakes.
Dawn, the host, responds quickly to messages and was very understanding when we had to stay a little bit past check out due to car issues which, we greatly appreciated since we were already so stressed and had nowhere else to go and didn't know what to do.
The only things I would suggest adding to the home is a tandem kayak since, probably most visitors are couples, and motion-activated lights to the stairs since, at night there are no city lights outside the windows and it's pitch black. Also, while the TVs have apps, they're not actually connected to any accounts.
We decided to get away for Thanksgiving week & spent the last 3 nights in this beautiful house, which was immaculate upon our arrival. The indoor fireplace & outdoor fire-pit provided all the comfort we needed, and on Thanksgiving day we received a visit from a small, inquisitive alligator, who swam up in the creek behind the house (plenty far from shore) & kept us company as we enjoyed the fire-pit & Thanksgiving Dinner from the second-floor deck. It was just a beautiful setting, and Dawn our host promptly responded to my many inquiries via email. I really hope we can make it back again.
The place was very cute and as exactly as described. However I would note it’s actually even cuter and nicer now than it was in the photos. You can tell they did some additional decorating from when the original photos were taken. It was very clean, and trust me I should know I’m a clean freak. The location was great. Unfortunately Rodgers parked was under construction when we were there and we were unable to book to go to Weeki Wachee as they were full. So thankfully we had a friend who lived in the area that allowed us to launch our kayak from there.
So if you are planning to go to Weeki Wachee please note you have to book well in advance to get a spot. But overall we had a great trip and the house was perfect for our needs! We utilized the back balcony often and we even saw the alligator in the creek and a hawk in the tree which was entertainment for us!
What an adorable vacation home. Great location- Close range to the springs and restaurants. The beds were so comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing on the balcony after a busy day out. Definitely recommend and we hope to return next year. Thanks for everything Dawn.

Nice place
House very clean, host wonderful. Neighborhood is quiet. Camper on one side, trailer on other. Will have to drive for activities.
No complaints , even if our simple phone did not have service but did further down the street. Everyone one would need is to be found in the home. Canoeing and a beautiful stream with its manatees were hopeful for the future of nature.
Check in was easy code for a key box, unit was clean an modern. Couple of small maintenance issues stair post loose and transition strip to bedroom a bit of a stumble hazard. Has kayaks canoe and paddleboard, but board and canoe are broken. One kayak we took to river took on water. Overall a nice place even though is not on the water.
Great location. 1 mile from Rogers Park, Upper Deck. Great area for walking or biking. Sidewalk all the way once you reach the Shoal line road. This cabin/house is beautiful decorated. It gives you such a great home feeling. Be prepared to climb steps since it sets on stilts. The bedroom is upstairs so there's more stairs to climb. We only used the king bed and it was very comfortable. Bathroom has a large garden tub and walk in shower. This house has lots of windows. This makes watching the wildlife easy. It also has a screened in front porch and lower back porch. Upper walkout deck is not screened in but no bugs while we were there and we enjoyed watching the wildlife in the woods and creek behind the house. It is very well stocked for cooking your meals. Laundry detergent supply was on hand. There is a stackable washer and dryer upstairs in closet. Plenty of hand soap, dish detergent, paper towels and toilet paper. Dawn was great to work with. She always answered any messages quickly.
