Hotel Riu Palace Aquarelle - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"best all inclusive resort , you will not be disappointed."

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters - Montego Bay, An Autograph Collection® All-Inclusive Resort - Adults Only

8/10 Good

"This is a beautiful resort. The location is great, about a half hour from the airport .The beach is amazing. Our room was great, spacious and comfortable. The staff were wonderful, the only issue I had was we were celebrating a 60th birthday and our butlers did nothing to acknowledge it, our group for what’s app was named birthday group (my husband and I share our birthday), this was just a small thing. The resort just reopened in September and they are still working out some things. The restaurants were hit or miss, many out of food items consistently. We loved the Italian and steak restaurant, the hibachi was also good. Our beach “butler” TERRYANN was awesome. She is a gem, so happy, friendly and funny all in one person. The bars were great, all had top shelf liquors and some even had my favorite stoli raspberry which was a plus. The bartenders at the Aquarius bar were awesome. We did get cornered into doing their 90 minute sales presentation which turned into 3 hours even after we repeatedly said we were not interested. That was very frustrating. The only other issue we had was with the tour company in the lobby. We booked 2 excursions and decided we only wanted to do one and they flat out refused to refund me even though their policy stated I had until 24 hours prior with full refund. The agent was very condescending about it. I don’t know if they are affiliated with the resort or not (Nexus tours) but it did say Royalton excursions on their shirts so just be aware."

Hotel 39 Jamaica

8/10 Good

"Well, overall, we had a great time in Montego Bay. The worst part of the hotel was the housekeeping . After the room was cleaned, we had to wait hours to get clean towels and even when the towels were delivered to the room, they looked as though they weren’t completely clean. It was a little dingy. I should say wasn’t like completely white. We had to request towels almost every day, request soap, request shampoo request, conditioner, request lotion. It was like I felt we were begging for the item that was supposed to come with our room and we did book a king Oceanview room, which was supposed to be one of the top-of-the-line rooms. There was even a day when our room was not even cleaned. We had to call the front desk and the housekeeping supervisor herself had to come and clean our room."

Toby's Resort

8/10 Good

"A charming, low-key and well kept establishment with attractive grounds, two outdoor pools, pool bar and small gym (closed during my stay unfortunately). On site restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving Jamaican and other dishes. Very helpful staff. Parking, and close to airport. Walking distance to a couple of beaches, small mini markets and other shops."

Hotel Grand A View

10/10 Excellent

"On our arrival front desk made us feel welcome and helpful. I will recommend my friends and family to this hotel anytime, even my next visit will be Grand A View Hotel, our room and the hotel was so clean. I was very impressed with the staff including the gate keeper, bell person and cleaning crew was very nice. Breakfast was great, thank you."

Hotel Riu Palace Jamaica - Adults Only - All Inclusive

8/10 Good

"The rooms were clean, most of the staff were kind and courteous, I did had some issues with a manager and how he handled a particular situation which made a few days uncomfortable but the swimup bar was good and lively, food was a 8/10 not bad"

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Spot Valley Housing Scheme?

The best time to visit Spot Valley Housing Scheme is generally during the dry season, which runs from mid-December to May.

During these months, you'll experience pleasant weather with less humidity and a lower chance of rain, making it ideal for enjoying the local attractions and outdoor activities. The temperatures are consistently warm, typically ranging from 25°C to 30°C. This period is great for those looking to relax on the nearby beaches, explore the natural beauty of the area, or participate in watersports.

For travellers who prefer a quieter experience and potentially better value on accommodation, the shoulder months of November and early December can also be a good option. While there might be a slightly higher chance of rain, it often comes in short, refreshing bursts, and the crowds are generally smaller. This period is particularly suitable for couples seeking a more tranquil escape before the peak season begins.

Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?

Many Expedia hotel reservations are refundable, provided that you cancel before the hotel's cancellation deadline − this is often within 24 to 48 hours of your scheduled arrival.
