"It was just me and my boyfriend staying for two nights in room 101. The room and bathroom decor were very dated, which is cool in someways but not so much in other ways, like the ancient looking carpet. The room and bathroom were very clean but had a very strong fragrance that was irritating for me, but I tend to be more sensitive to fragrance than some. The employees in the general store were super helpful and friendly. We went to The Salmon House for dinner one night and it was good. The view from our room was great with the giant picture window. Parking was in back, right around the corner from our room. People tend to speed down the road right in front of the hotel, so be careful especially if you have little ones or dogs. At the time of this review the south shore road a few miles past the resort village was closed because of wash out. I would highly recommend going to see the Sitka spruce."

"We stayed here for a girls weekend away hiking and relaxing. It was wonderful. We loved the way the home was decorated and was super cozy; the sheets and linens were amazing, as well as the beds. A fully stocked kitchen made it perfect for grilling and cooking from home, which we loved. It was a good distance halfway between the airport and us venturing further North a couple days, and also had plenty nearby to explore and keep us busy. We would highly recommend! Just to note, the home is surrounded by other homes and campers, etc. It's not fully isolated on its own as we originally thought; however the quietness of the neighborhood worked well in comparison to other locations. A wonderful stay all around!"

"This cabin was was great! I really appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and layout and views from the two decks. The ambiance was really nice. Being pet friendly was super helpful. It's always nice when hosts appreciate that they are part of the family and proactively provide things like pet coverings/blankets to help safeguard furniture. Communications were prompt, detailed and non-intrusive during our stay. Much appreciated - definitely recommend this place!"

"We had a great relaxing and quiet time! Which was much needed! A charming A Frame with lots of personality! Loved the rustic cabin style!We will be back soon!!!Tim our Host was great, kept in touch and is super nice!"

"This was a beautiful find. The creek is the back is awesome for exploring. The hot tub was nice and warm. The kids enjoyed both a lot. The owner was awesome! Upon booking he immediately gave us information about trails. When I asked for some info on fishing he extremely helpful. He was super quick to respond. We had no issues during our stay, but prior to that he was always swift to respond.Hoodsport is a cute small touristy town, near the Olympics. The pass to the lower lake was awesome. There's a playground and a fishing pier. The water was crystal clear. The only issue, was the quality of the sofa bed. It could benefit from a foam mattress topper. Luckily the 7 year old is resilient. Highly recommend this spot. I plan to return for an extended trip in the future."

"when we arrived there was some random guy standing on the property right on the back porch, states he helps the neighbor out with checking things", it was very odd and not very settling. He should check things before the check in time of people, he really scared my grand daughter. You pay for privacy and this was very unprofessional."

"The home had obvious recent upgrades; everything was clea and in good working order. The funiture was comfortable and also newer with no obvious wear. The kitchen is well stocked to be able to prepare meals. The location is peaceful and beautiful with lots of good local outdoor activities. The home would also be great for a stormy day indoors."
