"We had a wonderful time at this property! Our annual mushroom hunting trip to the area. You can tell the host took time to decorate the place, lots of big and small details that remind you of home. Beds were pretty comfortable. Decent size kitchen, lots of entertainment inside if the weather happens to be not great… but we spent most of our time outside. Looks like recently renovated house. Walking to the lake was super easy (although we hike a lot, so cannot speak for everyone), but it’s really a very minor slope walk about 5 mins from the house. And the lake was all ours for many hours, we literally did not meet a single person on our trip to the lake on a Saturday morning! Had an excellent time with our dog swimming in Lake Cushman! Warm water even though it’s the end of September. Recommend the place! I wish we could stay longer next time!"

"We stayed at this cabin over Labor Day weekend with a group of friends, and it was the perfect getaway. The property has everything you’d want to enjoy both relaxation and adventure: hammocks, a hot tub, paddle boards, kayaks, and more. It’s an ideal spot to soak in nature during the day and hang out together in the evenings.The cabin itself is thoughtfully laid out and equipped with all the modern amenities, including a well-stocked kitchen that had everything we needed for cooking. It felt both comfortable and convenient without losing its log cabin charm.The surrounding area adds even more to the experience: plenty of amazing hiking trails, and the town of Hoodsport has great unpretentious restaurants with fresh seafood.Overall, this was a wonderful spot to unwind, connect with friends and enjoy the outdoors. Highly recommend!"

"I took my grandchildren there for two nights. Our biggest mistake was I didn’t make ferry reservations long before our trip which made us drive through Seattle both ways. Once we got to the place, it was fantastic! Took kids paddle boarding and checked out a water fall. "

"Great family (and dog) friendly house for a visit to the Olympic peninsula or Hood Canal area.We really liked the wide open floor plan and the large living area for eating and socializing together. "

"We absolutely loved the location and specifically booked this home for the beautiful views. We were pleasantly surprised to find it had lakefront access — we really enjoyed relaxing on the dock and dipping our feet in the water. Evenings by the firepit with a view of the lake were a highlight of our stay.That said, the property could benefit from some landscaping attention. The area below the deck appears untended, with quite a few weeds and overgrown vegetation. Inside the home, we also noticed a number of cobwebs, which made the space feel less clean than expected.Unfortunately, the most uncomfortable part of our stay was discovering mice in the kitchen and living room. We saw them on multiple occasions, along with droppings — even after contacting the management company, who said they’d send someone to set traps. It was unsettling to think about mice being around our luggage and food, and it definitely impacted our comfort level during the trip.This home has a lot of potential and we really enjoyed the setting, but we hope the cleanliness and pest issues are addressed for future guests."
