I highly recommend staying at strandhotel Seeblick. All the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. My room was beautiful, with the most incredible view of the lake and mountains.

OK Place for the Price
The service at the hotel was exceptional, apart from the weird desk times. The view of the water was beautiful, especially at sunrise. The rooms are clean, but in need of updating. Also the hotel is extemely hot, so be prepared to sleep with open windows.

Beautiful area, great views from rooms with balconies, nice breakfast with great views, comfy chair in room, fan that worked well in room. No air conditioning, no sheet on bed, only one pillow, bathroom was extremely tight and small, almost dangerous with sharp point of sink so close to shower you have to squeeze to get to toilet, shower floor slippery and no where to put toiletries, no shower seat or perch for legs when shaving legs.

Perfect spot near Interlocken
I actually enjoyed Spietz better than Interlocken. THe parking was easy as I got to park upfront. The reception was very welcoming. My room looked out over the water and despite the restaurant below it was very peaceful. I had a delicious salmon dinner next door and the bed was comfy. It was a little strange to have a coffee maker in the room, but ask the guest to go to the restaurant to buy coffee and the wellness area was a bit creepy at night. Were it not for the rude guests slamming doors at 7 in the morning it would have been a perfect stay. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel sits right on the lake with beautiful views of the mountains. The pool also looks out over the lake and was quite enjoyable. Restaurant had good options and food was delicious.

Lake view room.
The lake view was amazing as expected. The room was clean and decently sized. Previous reviews mentioned it being hot in summer. There was a fan available in the room but we did not need it. There was an expresso machine but sadly, there wasn't any pods available. They are available to buy at the restaurant.

The Seeblick Hotel was a little further from Interlaken than I thought but it was a lovely stay. We had our own car so it wasn't hard to get to. Parking is across the street in a private area. You have to use the key card to get into it. The rooms were nice but they didn't give us any coffee for the Nespresso machine. You have to buy it from the front desk. Seriously? We had a beautiful view from the balcony of the lake and the boats that cruise around there. We had breakfast and ate dinner at the hotel. It was fine. The infinity pool was very nice. Warm and relaxing after a stressful day.

Lovely hotel, slightly dated, but clean tidy and amazing views ! Good food and service… staff were friendly and helpful! Lovely infinity pool which was a bonus! Bus stop just outside the hotel and easy to reach other areas with bus train and boat ! Boat trip definitely worth it !

The toilet was clean and modern maybe cause they just renovate their toilets. The window rooms have a perfect view of Lake Thun.

Wouldn’t return.
The hotel is in decent condition. The rooms were clean. However we didn’t think it was worth what we paid. We couldn’t find the remote for the tv. The beds while comfortable, had super flat pillows. There was no laundry service information as advised by receptionist in the room. The shower was so weird. It had a fold out panel to turn it from bath to shower and the spray to the shower head was so powerful that it ended up spraying past the panel and all onto the floor through my shower. The hallways smelt like chlorine. It cost about 17.50 francs each for breakfast and I was not about that. Hotel restaurant closes way too early for food, we had to drive to Interlaken McDonald’s at 830-9 pm to get something to eat because they only serve coffee despite their hours being til later. Got a weird look when asked if they were still serving food. Sorry that’s the Swiss way but perhaps consider travellers have different customs and shouldn’t be judged. The balcony was a nice touch and we were able to find parking so that was ok. Mountain view was nice. Swiss hotels never have ice machines or mini fridges in the room. Not worth the price.

My room, as advertised, had a lovely view of the lake. The bathroom was pristine and there was a spa bag with slippers, robe & towel which I brought down to the small pool and sauna room… Which is just what I needed after a day of hiking! I was only there one night and had to leave early so I did not partake of any Restaurant food or other services. The staff were friendly, helpful in English and I loved to getting the extra value card which got me on the bus to the train station with no fare in the morning!

Staff: do these people know how to great guests? Bathroom: no electrical outlets, practically no space for toiletries, very high and dangerous bath tub walls. Room: limited comfort, coffee maker without coffee. We called the front desk and were told: "I only have one." Ice: can get it at the restaurant only. Safe: without a key.

Good hotel near Spiez
I came here for two-nights mainly because I needed somewhere quiet to write. The hotel is spotlessly clean and although the bedroom was a little tired and basic, the bathroom looked as new. Although a little way outside of Spiez, you are very near an hourly bus route and the hotel provided a Mobility Card to allow free travel. Breakfast is a bit sparse for the money. Overall I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the hotel.

Would love to call this hotel home
A most amazing hotel with an amazing location! The view from the deck took our breath away! This was by far, the best hotel we have stayed at in our four trips to Europe. Having to take the bus back to Spies is a minor inconvenience to catch the train. You just have to remember that it comes by once an hour and plan your trip accordingly. The serenity of the lake with mountain views is indescribable. Coming back to stay here for at least a week next time.

Perfect location
The hotel sits on the edge of Lac Thun and the view from our room was perfect. As hotel prices go in Switzerland the Strandhotel is very reasonable, especially considering the stunning view. The room was dated and tired, especially the bathroom, but spotlessly clean. The food in the restaurant was excellent too. A great location to explore what is a very beautiful area.

We stayed for one night at the end of a week in the mountains. Sadly, the weather wasn't so great so we didn't get to enjoy a drink or a meal on the terrace right next to the lake as we had hoped. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, our room was upgraded due to a booking misunderstanding. The room was very clean with a perfect balcony view of the lake but the style wasn't really to our taste. The bathroom perhaps needed an upgrade. Breakfast was a typical Swiss buffet with plenty of choice.
