This was a most excellent time for my wife and I on our anniversary. The cottage was immaculate and private, sounds of the ocean at your gate. Copious sun all day, but enough shade exists to lounge in the chairs mornings, and pool afternoons. You view of the sunset is straight on and unfettered, followed by a black starry sky. The only missing rating star was for the lack of sand outside our gate (the ocean shifts it about, and ours was not the week for it to be there) That said, sandy beaches were abundant within 100 yards of the property, and coral life was within snorkeling distance. All shoreline is public, with at least walkways available if the beach itself is impassable.
We were greeted by the rental agent at the cottage and we signed the paperwork there. No office visit. The agency also offered a prestock of groceries that we took them up on, as well as to plan the meal for directly after arrival. A concierge is available to help plan activities or dinner out. Andrea, the dedicated chef/housekeeper (Yes, Andrea is your chef, and nobody else's!) was on hand at arrival, and mixed up welcome drinks and got to work on dinner. Ask for local dishes and you will not be disappointed. She was absolutly top notch in cooking skill, and never disappointed when told to be creative. Andrea will shop for you, and prep to your desire. Any groceries she buys is billed at checkout. Andreal is respectful, courteous and professional, but ahe will be your friend by the end of the week if you allow her! She embodies the friendly culture of Babados.
