Det er ved at være godt slidt . Blev meget skuffet man kunne ikke få rigtig Engelsk morgenmad der mere , det har ellers altid været så godt det , tror vi har brugt stedet 10 gange i alt.

Avoid.

We had a letter pushed under our door saying that the area had a power cut - I assume that the power cut didn’t hit the main block where the printer had power. The fire alarm went off 2/3 times. I will not be returning.

Inexpensive place for Southend Airport

A comfortable hotel near the airport that is a work in progress. It is dated but there is evidence of improvements going on. Considering the lack of use of the airport due to the pandemic this hotel has lost business but looks as if it is working on getting it back to normal.

Fawlty Showers

The rooms were ok, bed was comfortable and it was clean. However the hallways were damp and musty smelling, there was no hot water on the night of our stay ( although rectified by the next day, we had to chase for updates). The car park was waste ground, and overall a slightly intimidating atmosphere. I guess for the price it was adequate and very handy for the nearby Saxon Hall. I probably wouldn’t stay again.

Did the job. Had a festival at Garon park. Old but clean. Dreadful noise at 2am outside the room 142 both nights, sounded electrical. People not adhering to no smoking left awful smell. Bed old and lumpy. But choice of twin or double. Only breakfast choice continental for £8. Good parking friendly staff. Needs an upgrade!

Nice hotel, comfortable and friendly

The hotel in places is a little tired but it is clean and comfortable with friendly helpful staff. Parking is busy when they have an event but there appears to be good CCTV coverage and parking seems safe and secure. I will happily stay there again, be advised in August the restaurant was not open due to staff shortages post lockdown.

Reception staff were friendly. Room smelt of damp but had a nice shower, bathroom towel had blood on it, they changed the towel no problem. We paid 16 pound for 2 breakfast's and was not told it was just self service continental. We had stayed before and it was cooked or continental, felt breakfast was expensive for what it was, and they should have said it was continental only. Its cheap and cheerful and suited our needs, as we just wanted somewhere to sleep, but wouldent recommend for a nice weekend away.

The beer pipes need a good clean out as the beer tasted crap. It has a funny smell to the corridors and rooms the carpets are filthy, bathroom had not been cleaned properly you could still see where someone had brushed their teeth and spat it in the sink and the bath was not clean either. All in all would not go back

Tired old building. Needs an upgrade

Booked a room for one night for a social event nearby. The website states that the hotel is newly refurbished. That maybe the case for the main building, however the annex buildings are very dated. The room was tired worn and in urgent need of decoration. It smelt of mould and stale cigarettes. The bathroom was very untidy in terms of decor. Staff were very helpful and efficient and cannot be faulted, however the building itself is in urgent need of an upgrade.

I ordered a family room with one double and 2 single beds but was told on arrival this was it available so had to make do with a double bed for myself and 2 children. The staff were rude the place is tatty as well I would never stay again

Hotel room was fine but paper thin walls meant we heard everything in the room next door who were clearly not intending to sleep! Absolutely spoiled what should have been a pleasant stay.

Nice pleasant hotel

Very pleasant staff at the hotel allowed to order take away and eat in hotel as arrived late and no restaurant available decent bar facilities and in easy reach of my destination the next day
